I guess not everyone is here yet, which was probably a good thing on my part. We walked in and went straight to the kitchen where we knew his mom would be, going over the top like she always does.
"Evie! I'm so glad you could make it." Liz smiled at me, rushing over to hug me.
I missed this place, I missed her, I missed Luke, the old Luke, our friendship. I missed a lot, yet there was nothing I could do about any of it and that hurt, so much.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world." I said, looking up at Luke with a blank face as we hugged before she pulled away.
I went back to smiling before she went on talking to Luke about something that I zoned out of, I was just looking around at the familiar surroundings, of a place I use to call home.
"Let's go up to my old room and hangout until everyone gets here." Luke said once his mom left.
"I would rather not be alone with you, and what do you mean "old room"?"
"I moved out."
"Why?"
"I didn't like being here without, nevermind, I just needed a new environment. I'm still surprised mom let me do it." He chuckled, causing me to as well.
I ended up just going to his room anyways, I had snuck away while he was talking to the little bit of family was here and more was piling in. I'm sure in the next hour everyone will be here.
"Hey, you okay?" An out of breath Luke asked, walking into his room and shutting his door.
"Yeah, are you okay?" I giggled.
"I was looking everywhere for you."
"Oh."
There was a bit of awkward silence after that, I was sat on his bed, old bed, I guess and he was still standing in front of me, I wish I knew what was going through his head.
"Want to play Mario Kart like we use to?" I suggested, it seemed to make him smile, which of course, made me smile.
"Yeah." He said, setting it up.
"I'm going to beat you, just so you know." I joked.
"We'll see, Eves, we'll see."
I let him set it up and pick a track for us while I started to concentrate, I really did want to beat him. When we use to play winners went back and forth between us.
"Move over, Luke! I'm trying to pass you."
"I'm not letting you pass- FÙCK!" He shouted when I finally passed him, making me laugh.
"Luke, don't you dare hit me with that shell." He smirked over at me, evilly.
"How did you dodge it?"
"I don't know but I'm glad I did, it just won me first place." I put the controller down, getting up and dancing around.
When I looked back over at Luke I noticed his gaze was focused on mine, he had stood up and was in front of me, a little bit away. It made me stop all my movement, and just look at him back.
He slowly walked forward, our eyes never breaking contact and before I knew it his lips were on mine, again. I loved the feeling, I wasn't going to deny that to myself or anyone else, but I just couldn't do this.
"Please, kiss me back." He whispered against my lips, and so I did, with everything I have.
"No, no, no. We can't."
"Why not?" He whispered against me, softly.
"You hate me." He pulled back.
"Do you really think I could ever hate you?"
"You act like it, and if you don't, then why aren't we friends anymore?"
"It's just-"
"A long story, I know. You use the same excuse every time." I scoffed, stomping out of his room.
Once I got to the top of the stairs I put a happy face back on, ready to go down and reminisce with the rest of his family that has come to visit, I just hope tonight goes well.

I'm aware of how short this is but before I continue I need to know if you guys want more smut or not? I don't want to add it then have to deal with "omg!1!1 this is moving too fast!1!1! I can't believe they did that again!1!1"
Also, I'm sure a lot of you probably hate the whole love/hate plot where one minute they're mean and the next they're kissing but that's just how it's meant to be for a while so Im sorry.
