drying her hands with one of the towels hanging, yuna excitedly walked towards the older whose eyes are fixed on the counter, "so how did it go?" the younger asked, smiling widely.
she noticed that the older still had his head low, fidgeting whatever he touched on the counter, yuna furrowed her brows. "mark." the younger calls out again, snapping him out of his thoughts, "did he liked it? the flower?"
yuna sked, with the smile still on her lips but mark only shook his head, slowly. "what do you mean—he didn't like it?"
shaking his head, "he said i should stop buying useless things." mark replied, his voice is barely audible but the younger still managed to hear it. as when yuna is about to protest, mark spoke again.
just then the traffic light turned green and mark averted his gaze back on the road but this didn't stop the chenle from continuing the topic, "court him."
the younger simply stated, "court him like you want to be his boyfriend."
as what chenle told, he has to court the younger, show donghyuck his true feelings no matter how hard it is. "but that's fine!" mark lifts his head up, "I'll give him another thing or everything he wants!"
yuna is now confused, why would mark's soulmate—just say that? say that the flowers are useless? and why is mark suddenly had a forced smile? her mind is full of questions, and one thing she wanted to ask right now is, "did you guys got the punishme—"
but before she could finish her sentence, the sound of the wind chime was heard inside the whole shop, and they all went back to doing their own work.
but this whole time, mark has been acting so different, it was so different from his normal self, if yuna would describe it. mark would always greet the customers with a smile, bright energy, and he even sometime will tell little stories about donghyuck.
but today was so indistinguishable...
resting his chins on his palms, as his eyes wandered around the coffee shop. mark is just waiting for the next 30 minutes for the shop to be closed, and also there no more customers seen inside the shop.
and here he is spacing out, face is emotionless.
"y-you want some.." the younger paused and lets out a hiccup, "s-some facts about me... i like cartoons.. brrom, broom."
mark smiled, he still watched lightning mcqueen, still a baby.
"i want a hug, and i want to read a l-lot of books!"
that was it! mark remembered donghyuck loves books so much—he didn't know why he forgot about that henced donghyuck going to the library almost every single day—mark will get donghyuck a book, that's it.
his emotionless face started to form a smile, as he still looks at the direction of almost nothing.
"woah, you're creeping me out." a voice spoke, jolting the older from his daze, "why and who are you smiling to." yuna asked.
he looks like he was dead inside earlier, now he's smiling all unpredictably. what is going on with him, yuna thought.
shaking his head, mark took off his apron and shot yuna with a smile—and yuna still finds it creepy. "i'll go first!" mark suddenly said, walking towards the bathroom to change his clothes.
"but we still haven't cleaned the place!" yuna snarls, her voice lingering around the whole shop, "hey! help me cleaned the shop first!"
