"have you tried contacting your brother?"

the same question that donghyuck's mother has been asking for a few times, it's been hours since they've been waiting for the two but they have no signs of both of them.

"i tried tracking donghyuck hyung's phone but," chenle sighed, locking his phone, "but it got lost—i think it's safe to assume that his phone died."

the last call they got from both of them is mark's mother talking to donghyuck from the tanned male's mom's phone.

chenle paced back and forth on his spot, unintentionally biting his nails because of nervousness.

jisung on the other hand, approached the older as he stands behind the shorter male, taking a hold of his shoulders, trying to calm the older down which did help in some ways. jisung too, he's worried for his older brother, he also attempted to call the mark but he just won't pick the call up.

"jisung, have you tried contacting mark?" his mother asked and the younger sadly shook his head.

they can't just say that donghyuck and mark are late—it's been three hours now, the food is probably cold by now because it haven't been touched for hours. but they're too busy to worry about the food, all they want to know right now is where could donghyuck and mark could be.

------

it was now midnight.

the wind grew colder than it was before but they don't mind, they like it actually. both of them decided to walk away from the woods and stumbled upon a somewhat cliff. that's when they decided to just stop for the night, they have no choice anyway, they're stuck here in the darkness, all they can do is wait for the sunrise.

"that was lucas." mark plainly said, looking straight at the moon only to averts his gaze back on donghyuck, "he was telling me to make 'a move' to you because he found out we got the punishment thinking that will solve everything." mark lets out a chuckle.

mark remembered when lucas called him through the phone and told him he got a piece of advice for him. mark couldn't believe it at first since lucas isn't the type to be an expert when it comes to love.

donghyuck gulps, having a hard time keeping an eye contact with the older.

"when you saw me in the coffee shop with one of my co-workers goofing around—no, we're not flirting... we're really just friends." mark continues to explain, "when i got you the sunflower that i placed on your plushie we won on the amusement park, yuna bought me into that store—the flower isn't for her... it's specifically for you."

mark recalls the time when he saw the sunflower he gave to donghyuck in the trash can. it was painful, to say the least, but the only thing he can think of that time is to show donghyuck his feelings but turns out, donghyuck is thinking the complete opposite way.
