"Ow!" I raised my voice, hearing it echo through the dusty narrow hall, immediately feeling pain above my ankle. I scraped my leg against the rusty metal of the staircase, rushing to get to the roof. I quickened my steps and stopped for a brief second once I reached the entrance door to the roof. I glanced to the ground and noticed one of Taehyung's daisies, assuming it fell out of his pocket. I picked it up and put it onto the hand sanitizer I had in my pocket. I slowly opened the door and timidly peeked my head out the door. I saw Taehyung once I completely opened the door, immediately smiling after finally seeing him.

For a first few seconds, Taehyung stood calm. The wind messing with his dark hair, made the strands of his hair dance across his forehead. He was the true light, shining brighter than the sun and the clear sky combined. Fully immersed in his outstanding beauty, I barely noticed what he was surrounded with. There were these letters. Letters all around him. Some in orange envelopes, some in cheap white ones. Some were bigger, some were smaller. Letters in medium cardboard boxes, letters attached to the wires that were hanging down onto us as the wind slowly interacted with them, softly swaying them back and forth. Letters wrapped in white ribbons, all presented in his style.

"Mouse. What are these?" I asked in a timid tone, moving closer to him. Taehyung softly smiled and slightly gulped. "Your letters. Ones you never read." He spoke quietly, making me walk closer to him. "What?" I asked, slightly widening my eyes. "Taehyung, no. Please, no." I started speaking, immediately shaking my head. "How did you get these?" I spoke up, gently holding the one that was hanging from the wire, softly pulling it down. "Sana showed me the letters in the storage room, and I got an idea. An idea to help you finally read them." He spoke softly, making me look down. "I don't want to read them. It's been too long." I stated, making Taehyung move closer to me. "I think I've found a way for you to read them." He spoke with a smile. "What is it?" I timidly asked, nervously playing with my fingers.

The whole idea of reading the letters my family and friends sent terrified me. I wanted my old life to be cut out. And I did everything to cut it out. I refused letters and visitations, mainly because of fear. What would I find in those letters? Would the words be filled with pity and sorrow or would they talk about my puppy learning new tricks? Would the letters get deep, making me want to go home to see my sunny neighborhood filled with children's laughter? Would these letters help me?

"Just hear me out. Letters are pretty." Taehyung spoke in his unusual manners, somehow making more sense then I would have explained it. "Some can be heavy, like real bad. But most of them give you strength. dahyun-" He spoke and continued, looking directly into me. "You have all these letters, all these people who care about you. I-I don't have that. You might see me be friendly with everyone, but not many people want to be interacted with me after hearing what I had done" He said, making me furrow my eyes and feeling slight pain wash over me upon hearing his hurtful voice. "I want you to appreciate these letters. I want you to cherish all 258 of them like I cherish my 3 letters, and the empty one too." He spoke in a bright tone, making me giggle. My eyes started watering, absorbing the beauty of the moment. I let him continue, slowly giving in into his idea. "Each letter has one daisy inside the envelope, like a gift to you. There are some extra daisies in the boxes, but I'll let you find them. I know you like my daisies, so I thought that even if you got a sad letter, you can have a daisy to cheer you up." Taehyung kept speaking in a voice that sounded so adorable and full of hope. "But actually, there are 259 letters." He spoke and continued, making me furrow my eyebrows until he explained. "One is from me. Hidden in a special box." He said and pulled the box out of his big coat pockets. I reached for it to hold it, but he moved his hands away. "No-no. You need to promise me you'll read it when you finish all 258 previous ones." He spoke with a smile, making me lean closer. "I knew you're going to say that." I said and rolled my eyes in playful annoyance. He giggled, showing his bright boxy smile that shone right onto my soul.
