Clayn
Monday came and the sports day began. There will be a program in the morning and that's when we present our dance. Kailangan maganda ang aming sayaw dahil a lot of student from other school will be coming to our school.
"Okay, guys. Goodluck. Do your best of the best." sambit ng aming trainer.
We group hugged and after that we just waited for the emcee to called us. Nang kami'y ay tinawag na, we proceeded to the stage at ginawa ang aming formation.
Medyo kinabahan ako, kaming lahat rather but we all know we can do this perfectly. This isn't a competition but we shouldn't stained our reputation. Ang dance troupe ng North Western University ang palaging champion bago pa man ako sumali.
The crowd will expect to be perfect and extraordinary performance from us. Kaya kahit hindi ito kompetisyon, gagalingan namin. We will do our best.
As the beat of the music starts, nagsimula na din kaming mag scattered. And with that, we gave our very best as we dance. This is our passion. They love dancing and so do I. We keep our moves graceful and just right energy.
The crowd was so loud the whole time. It seems like they are all amaze. We didn't fail them I guess. And for the final, some of my group mates back flipped and we do split.
A loud of applause from the crowd we heard was heart melting. Ang daming nagsisigawan. This is it! We have done our best.
As we exited, our trainer meet us backstage and he was tearing a little.
"You all did it! Congrats." pagbati niya sa amin.
"Congrats guys!" and my groupmates including me congratulated everyone of us.
Our costume was just simple. Cargo pants and an oversized sweater. I was sweating a lot and was still panting a little. The programmed continued.
Umupo ako sa isang upuan at uminom ng tubig. Some of my groupmates do the same. Kess went to me na umiinom din ng tubig.
"Clayn, Jaden was looking for you." she said.
Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kanya. She was still sweating but she's wiping it. Nakatayo siya sa aking harapan.
"Oh, nasaan siya?"
"Sa labas."
Tumango ako bilang pagsagot at lumabas na. There I saw Jaden at the entrance holding a flower and a water. Nakatayo siya at nakatalikod sa akin. He's wearing a white hoodie and black fit trousers.
Some students were looking at him. Dahil may dala siguro siyang bulaklak. Para kanino naman kaya 'yon?
Nang makalapit na ako sa kanya, I poked his back.
"Jaden!" I called him. "You were looking for me?"
He turn to me with a smile on his face. His hair was properly groomed now, bagong gupit siya. It was comb properly too.
"Hmm! Congrats. Ang galing niyo." And he handed me the flowers.
Nabigla ako at namula. Ramdam kung nakatitig ang iba sa gawi namin. Kinuha ko naman ang bulaklak at yung dala niyang tubig.
"Thank you." I smiled at him.
He opened the water bottle for me. Uminom din ako.
"Are you tired? Let me treat you. Kain tayo." pagyaya niya.
Ang ibang groupmates ko ay kakalabas lang kaya nakita nila kami. Some of them tease us kaya mas lalo akong namula. Nagpaalam silang kakain din daw sila. They ask me to join them too but one of our groupmates told them na baka daw may date pa kami ni Jaden kaya they left me nalang.
I can't believe this. Jaden is publicly courting me. He doesn't care about others. He gave me flower in public. I wonder what would happen to him now. Would he get a lot of criticism from now on?
"Hey, you must be tired. Natulala ka na diyan."
I was snapped back. Hindi ko namalayan na natulala na pala ako. I just can't stop thinking for him.
"Ah I'm fine." And I gave him an assurance smile. "Let's go. You said libre mo."
The thought of him doing this things made my heart warmth. Aaminin kung kinikilig ako sa kanya. With just some of his simple gestures.
While we are walking, hinapit niya ako sa bewang na nakapagpagulat sa akin. Bigla akong nailang lalo na't ang daming tumitingin sa amin. Wala kong nagawa at hinayaan nalang siya.
Habang naglalakad kami sa pathway, nakasalubong namin si Cade. Agad namang bumundol ang kaba sa aking dibdib nang makitang sobrang sama ng tingin niya sa akin.
Then his words flashed on my mind.
"End what's between you two."
And I nodded at him. I agreed.
Nakalimutan ko 'yon. We both stop nang harangan kami ni Cade at masamang tingin ang ipinupukol sa amin.
How can I possibly stop what's between me and Jaden? All he had done to me is pure kindness and nothing else. All he did was just loving me. How can I hurt him if ever? I would be heartless.
Everything's complicated right now. Paano ko ba 'to ihinto? Inaamin kong gusto ko si Jaden pero ngayon ay tanggap ko na na mas lamang si Cade.
"Saan mo dadalhin si Clayn?" umiigting ang panga ni Cade habang tinatanong niya 'yon.
Narinig kung nagbuntong hininga ang katabi ko.
"Again. Why are you meddling with us dude? Can't you just leave us alone?" irritation was laced on Jaden's voice.
Nakatayo lang ako habang sobrang lakas ng pintig ng aking puso. They meet again. And I know what's going to happen. Fuck!
Nakita ko ang panga ni Cade na mas lalong umigting. Damn I can sense him getting mad already.
"Why would I leave you two alone if you're taking what's mine?" parang nabunutan ng tinik kaming dalawa sa narinig.
Jaden was taken aback a little. Ako ay sobrang bigat na ng nararamdaman dahil sa tensyon. I can't open my mouth to stop them.
"What did you just say?"
"You asshole! You're taking what's mine. So back off before my fist hits your damn face." mariin na ani Cade.
I immediately went to him to stop him when I saw him fisted his hand. I tried to push Cade a little when he started to advanced.
"Hey you two stop please." pagpigil ko. "Cade calm down."
"Clayn what is he saying?" Jaden asked me confused.
Bago pa man ako makapagsalita ay inunahan na naman ako ni Cade.
"Can you just leave Clayn the fuck alone? You weren't worthy for someone like him."
Some students was looking at us now. Shit! This is bad. I'm so nervous right now. Cade is seriously mad right now. Jaden was so confused and irritated at the same time.
"No, Clayn's decision matters here." and Jaden faced me. "Now Clayn choose between me and this motherfucker."
Para akong nabingi. Ito ang kinatatakutan ko. Ang pumili. How can I choose between them? This is so fucking hard, damnit!
Ramdam ko ang kanilang mga titig, naghihintay sa sagot ko. I'm still not ready for this. I looked at Jaden and his eyes shows pain. Fuck!
I'm so fucked up!
How can I hurt him?
How can I wreck him?
Naaawa ako sa kanya. This man had never done bad to me.
Nagbuntong hininga ako.
"Wala..."
At iniwan ko muna silang dalawa doon na sobrang bigat ng dibdib.
