The dinner went smooth. Nag-uusap lang sina lola, lolo, at ang parents namin. Sometimes, Winston Anderson- the man earlier - joined their talk from time to time, too.
One word I can describe him is that he's intimidating. Hindi ko alam kung anong meron sa kanya but he definitely intimidated me. Dark aura, serious-looking, and too much intensity with his stares.
"You're a law student, hijo?" tanong ni mommy nang mabanggit ni Lola iyon.
Napabaling kami sa kanya.
His moves were so graceful yet manly. He drinks the water first before he cleared his throat to talk.
"Yes, Tita. Corporate lawyer specifically." he said with so much seriousness on his voice.
Mommy nodded. They resume talking and it was about business. Pagkatapos non ay balik agad ako sa kwarto ko at sa gabing 'yon, tumawag si Cade. Our call laster for a couple of hours before I sleep.
Kinabukasan ay sa hapon na kami nakapag-video call kasi umaga roon sa Philippines habang dito ay hapon na.
"I missed you already, damn," aniya with still hoarse voice, fresh from bed.
Nasa terasa ako ng mansion, mag-isa. Kuya and Kuya Gian went out. Si Demi naman ay nasa kwarto niya. The cold breeze blew my hair a bit. Tanaw ko mula rito ang fountain sa harapan ng mansion na ito.
I'm wearing a sweater right now dahil sobrang lamig.
His hair was messy and he's topless. Eyes still sleepy. Even though he was fresh from bed, hindi pa rin ito nakakabawas sa angking kaguwapohan niya. Inaamin kong sobra akong nagaguwapohan sa kanya.
"I missed you too, kumain ka na ba?"
"Not yet, later, how about you?"
"Done. Kumain ka na..."
Ayon nga, kumain siya habang nag-uusap kami. Kinwento ko lang ang nangyari sa buong araw ko. Nothing interesting happened actually. I didn't mention Winston to him because it's not necessary.
"I want to go there and see you..." malungkot niyang sambit. He slightly pouted his lips. Kahit sa screen ko lang siya nakikita, kahit papano nababawasan an pagka-miss ko sa kanya.
Ngumiti naman ako ng mapait. I wanted to see you too but soon.
"Magkikita naman tayo after New Year..." pampanglubag-loob ko sa kanya.
He just sighed.
"Time is so slow, I can't wait baby. I'm not a patient person..." he said playfully.
"Oh sure you are. Let's just bare with this now promise when I get back, we'll go out and spend our time together..." nakangisi kong sabi.
He smiled at that.
"Of course because I missed you so bad already..."
Our call lasted for a couple of hours as usual dahil wala akong ibang magawa sa mansion na ito. Natapos ang tawag namin nang kakain na kami.
I stood up and turned around to get in but I step back because of shocked. Winston towering over me with his still dark aura but with a playful smirk. Hair slightly pushed back and lips twitching playfully.
He's in white button down long sleeves na nakatupi hanggang siko niya. A sleek and pair of black slacks in lower naman. He looked so formal as always. Ewan ko kung bakit palaging pormal ang isinusuot niya.
