"Um... you sure you want to swim?" I hesitantly asked her. Terry looked back at me with a confused smile.

"Yeah! Isn't that why we're here?" She followed my gaze, and her smile dropped. "Oh, that's my brother's ex- girlfriend."

"Ah- really?" I whispered as I stared as the two stood together. Terry had a very disapproving face next to me.

"She changed a lot. Did she get plastic surgery or something?" She grabbed my hand and started to pull me in the direction they were standing.

"Wait Terry-" It was too late. My sister had already looked in our direction. Her mouth formed an 'o' and her eyes were shooting lasers.

"Hey Terry." Terry's older brother looked at her with a fond smile. However, his aura changed when he shifted his gaze to me. "Hey! You're that girl who was at Janice's house!" Terry looked over at me.

"Really? Well, this is my friend Megan." Terry grabbed my arm and pulled me forward. "We've been hanging out for some time now." Mark shot daggers at me from his eyes, so I quickly looked towards the direction of the pool.

"Ah? Can I talk to your little friend for a second?" There was venom in Mark's voice. Terry was a bit confused, but walked away, turning back every so often. Mark swiftly pushed Janice out of the way and brought me into the building.

Once we were out of sight, he pushed me against the wall. I struggled to get out of his grip, because he was much older and stronger than me.

"H-hey... stop!" I said as he kicked me in the shin. I groaned in pain, and he sadistcally grinned. It was quite creepy.

"How did you know my sister was Terry?" He smiled, showing all of his teeth. For his character, I was surprised that his teeth were white and clean.

"I didn't know. I don't even know who you are!" I struggled against his grip, making him squeeze my wrists tighter. I stopped, knowing that it would leave a bruise later.

"You don't?" He held my wrists tightly, restricting any movement. "Remember that day I introduced myself at your house?" I shut my eyes tightly, and opened them when I remember the day.

Flashback

"Hello. Does Janice Gallagher live in this house?" My eyes widened. Why were they looking for Janice? I panicked.

"N-no...." I quickly said and tried to shut the door. He shoved it open and glared at me. I was so terrified.

"If she's here, you better tell her that I need to speak with her." He nearly growled at me.

"How can I tell her when I don't know your name?" I cheekily said, taking all the risks that were needed. He narrowed his eyes.

"Then tell her that Mark is here for her." I raised my eyebrows, but obliged and went in for a second to call my sister. She picked up on the third ring.

"Do you need anything, Meg?" My sister asked. I hesitated. "Megan? Are you there?" I took in a breath.

"Someone that goes by the name Mark is outside." My voice trembled. It was quiet on the other side.

"Megan, tell him to meet me at a cafe. The cafe down the street. Tell him I'll be there." There was urgency in her voice. If he was dangerous, I didn't want Janice to meet him. She must have thought that I felt that way, because she said, "Megan, do as I say." Shaking, I opened the door again. This person named Mark was standing outside with his arms crossed.

"She told me to tell you to meet her at the cafe down the street." He raised his eyebrow at me. I looked up at him and tilted my head.

"If that's not true, I will be coming over here again. And by then, I won't knock on the door so nicely." He smirked and walked down the driveway. I scoffed. Jerk.

End of Flashback

"I think you remember me now, right little one?" He caressed my face gently, and then slapped me with force. "If anything I said to you that day goes into my sister's ears, you won't see the sunlight ever again." He threatened, and I clutched my face.

"What are you doing?" Janice approached the two of us, and Mark held open his arms to hug Janice. I stared in disgust as Janice hugged Mark. She didn't meet my eyes, and I scoffed. Wow.

"Just making sure her big mouth doesn't go yapping." Mark brushed his hair back and kissed Janice on the top of her head. Janice nodded slowly and scanned me, making sure that I wasn't hurt. Why do you care? I wanted to ask her.

But I didn't, knowing that me and William made a promise. I just stood there and watched, as Janice uncomfortably kissed her ex.

"I'm going to go to Terry," I got up from my position on the ground, but Mark pushed me back down.

"No way. Don't try to manipulate my sister." Mark said with a smug smile, knowing that he was stronger than me and would win this argument. I pushed him off of me, and he stumbled backwards.

"Don't touch me. You have no right to keep me away from people. Take care of yourself." I spat at him, and started to walk away. He grabbed my hair making me yelp, and I was dragged back to him.

"I don't think I gave you permission to-"

"And I didn't ask for permission." I crossed my arms and stared at him. He stared at me in shock, until he started to laugh. I think he's a psycho.

"You think you're so strong. But are you?" He smirked and stood in front of me. I wanted to tell him that he had a twisted mind. I wanted to tell him that we were all disgusted by him.

But I just stayed quiet.

___

"What did you talk about with my brother?" Terry asked as she chomped on an apple. I grabbed another apple for myself, and we headed back to the lounge.

"He just told me to treat you the right way," I lied. Terry nodded and wiped the juice off from her mouth.

"Overprotective," Terry laughed. I smiled, seeing her so happy. She was about to grab another slice of fruit when someone tapped her on the shoulder.

"Terry!" I looked up and almost screamed at myself. How do I always run into trouble?

"Sage!" Terry screamed and went to hug the girl. They seemed to be in a deep conversation, so I packed up my stuff to go home. I headed over to where they were standing to tell Terry, when I heard something weird.

"He's not dead." Sage hissed. Terry stumbled backwards, and I quickly hid behind the wall. Terry clenched her fists.

"You told me he was."

"Well, he's out there, looking for revenge. You know exactly what we wants." Sage held Terry's hands. "It's not like he's your real brother."

"He still cares about me, and I would never hand him over." Terry whispered.

"Would you rather die?" Sage stood with her hands on her hips.

"He's my friend's older brother, he would never do anything to me," Terry said weakly. The next second, it was like they had sensed me being nearby.

"Boys can be crazy." Sage insisted with a grim face.

"N-no..." Terry cried.

"It's you or them, Terry," Sage said blankly and picked up her stuff. "I'm leaving now."
