I stared at the papers on my desk. It couldn't be true. It just couldn't. I swiped at the papers, causing them to all scatter onto the floor.

"No!" I cried out. Everything was ruined. My whole plan of helping William out of the facility was ruined. Just because of that one step my mother took- right into Mark's trap.

I still remember the last sentence William said to me before he entered that horrid facility.

"Megan." I looked up from my spot on the bench, and walked up to my brother. "Come here." We walked over to an area slightly away from the others, and crouched down to my level.

"Can you not go? William, who's going to play with me?" I was on the verge of tears, and I was clutching my hands tightly. He grabbed his bag and pulled something out of it.

"I made this for you. Keep it in good hands, hm?" He handed me a doll. It was pink, and a bunny that was as fluffy as it could get. "Take care of Janice and your mother for me, Megan. I'll be out soon."

"B-but..." I reached for him, but he quickly hugged me and ran back to the others. I looked down at the doll in my hands. I'll take care of you well.

- End of Flashback -

The doll sat on my dresser, and it was still in perfect condition. I promised myself that one day, I would give it back to William. And on that day, everything would be perfect.

I lightly shook my head and turned back to the diary sitting in front of me. The boy... he wouldn't leave my mind. All I could figure out was that he was important. He would have answers, wouldn't he? He had to.

"William, William," I softly repeated. "When will you come back?" I was so lonely. All I received was neglect, and that wasn't really receiving either.
