First day of freshman year. It was finally here. A fresh new start, for the first day in my life. Pull the zipper up, let your long, wavy hair lean back, get your autumn style, and boom! You're ready!

"Megan, are you ready? The handsome boy is waiting for you." I groaned as I heard Daniel laugh softly at what my mother said. I grabbed my backpack before heading downstairs to see Daniel.

Over summer break, Daniel had gone to Cancun for the first time and I didn't see him. Over that time, he had grown about four inches, and he looked much taller than before.

"Hey Daniel," I shyly whispered. Daniel patted me on the shoulder, and bid my mother a goodbye before he took me outside. "If you don't have a driver's license, then how are you driving us to school?" I asked curiously.

Daniel laughed good heartedly before answering. "My older brother and his girlfriend are juniors, so they allowed me to take you along to school," he explained as he leaded me to the black tesla in front of us. Sliding the door open, he said, "You first, madame." I laughed and got in first to see a boy and a girl kissing.

"Um-"

"Get a room, guys!" Daniel groaned as he got into the car too. The two in the front reluctantly pulled away from each other and started the car. "Megan, meet Carmen and Lillian."

"Hi! Daniel told me-" I gasped in shock. Daniel looked at me curiously, looking at Carmen, and me. Me, and then Carmen. Back and forth, about hundreds of times. "Oh, never mind! I thought you were someone I know."

"Haha! You scared me for a second!" Lillian chuckled from the front. "I was like, is Carmen cheating on me?"

"Not a chance, babe." Carmen kissed Lillian again, making Daniel gag. "What? It was you who decided to carpool with us."

"Geez. Ok!" Daniel yelled at him and turned back to me. "You okay?"

"Geez. Ok!" Carmen mimicked, making Daniel give him a death glare. "Ok, I'm stopping. But did you hear the change of his voice when he talked to his little girlfriend?"

I felt very uncomfortable the whole ride to school. Carmen and his girlfriend were rude, selfish, and didn't care that I was right behind them.

Once we arrived at school, I thanked the couple for their ride and headed into the freshman hallways with Daniel.

"Do you know where the others are?" I asked as I placed my books in my locker. Fortunately, Daniel was only five lockers away from mine.

Daniel was just chilling by me. "I don't know. I just got here with you, Meg!"

I blushed as I realized how stupid I sounded. "Y-yeah, I guess my mind was on something else..." I trailed off.

He pulled me in for a peck on my cheek, making my cheeks blush an even deeper shade of red. I could see girls whispering and pointing at Daniel. "Really? Like what?"

"J-just- There's Arianna!" I pointed at the other side, finally spotting our friends. When Daniel's attention was off the side, I quickly hurried away to the other side of campus. Patting my cheeks, I thought, Why are you blushing, Megan?

"Hey." I heard the sounds of boys from behind me. I whirled around to see a nice looking boy looking down at me. "I'm Marcus."

"H-hi..." I looked down at his offered hand and shook it. I tried not to pay attention at how he looked at me, and instead took my gaze over to Daniel. He was shaking his head to a pretty girl in front of him. My blood boiled when I saw her clutching onto his arm, so I started to storm over there. I didn't get too far, because Marcus held me back.

"Woah woah woah, where are you going?" He said, and turned me around. We were much too close for my liking. I glared at him, but he refused to let go. "Uh uh, be a good girl."

Why is he talking to me like I'm nine? I kept pulling and pulling, until he snapped me back, and our lips touched. My eyes widened.

"That tasted good," he said with a smirk.

"Pervert!" I screamed, and shoved him backwards. The whole clearing went silent as they watched our every move. I heard footsteps from behind me.

Someone placed their hand on my shoulder. "What's going on?" I turned around and ran away, and I heard shouting behind me.

As soon as I got behind Building E, I started to sob. My first day in freshman year, and it hasn't been even ten minutes yet but someone latches himself onto me.
