At the reception, Guita sat next to Amy and Molly. "Your sisters can sure pick 'em." Guita sighs.
"Yeah," Amy nods as she nursed a champagne flute, "both my sisters hate being compared to mom, but both their love lives are retellings of our parents..." Molly stares at Amy. "Take Hana for instance," Amy points, "Andre was her first love and after nine years of not seeing each other, they found their way back to each others arms. Nico and Karolina, what started off as innocent flirting turned to a relationship leading to breakups but they managed to get back together. My parents- he's her first love- they got married, had three daughters, problems arise, even after almost three decades of marriage, they even threatened to split up, but look at them now, very much in love."
Guita stood up, "Before there was a Deanoru, Atlas Academy had HAndre. From their first kiss everyone in that class knew they would someday tie the knot- granted it was a stage kiss ten minutes after their initial introduction. Hana and Andre had the rockiest start, after the kiss, they became enemies then one Monday afternoon, Hana and I sat at the middle of the library studying with Andre. Their hands touched, eyes met, you could instantly feel the spark... I have no doubt that you, two, will be together pforever."
Robert stood up, "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I want to thank each and everyone of you for being here to celebrate four people's joyous union. Hana and Andre, they are so much in love each other. I remember Hana was hiding her relationship from us, her parents, but she did not know is that we knew she was in a relationship. Hey she still thinks to this day she's smarter than us but we are still smarter. I will still call Hana our little girl because- look, everyone- I see her as my little girl. Next the funny thing, is to this day I don't know how Hana get guys to ask her out when she does not try to get in a relationship. She does not try to get a boyfriend and guys line up to be her boyfriend. So let put up our glass and say Hana and Andre welcome to the family."
Tina stood up, "Hana was never one to believe in fairytales. As a child, she was very cynical. If somebody were to call her a princess, she'd quietly plot their death... Hana is the most practical of my kids, she always use her head and rarely acted on impulse..."
Everyone started laughing, Hana glared, "Funny, mom, very funny."
Tina gulped, "Anyways, Hana's the one person who one can always count on... Nico, on the other hand, you can count on but rarely. A natural born leader; she, like Hana, uses her head. Hana was more a mom to Nico than I was, and thank God for that. Nico, you turned out strong and independent; that didn't come from me..."
"Well, technically..." Hana shrugs.
Tina smirks, "Point is it wasn't a surprise that Nico would be willing to share this moment with Hana. By the way, if you hurt Hana, I'll take her back... with Nico, no refunds."
"Jeez, thanks mom!" Nico sarcastically exclaimed.
"Or exchanges." Robert whispered.
"Ow!" Nico pretended to be offended.
"And, here, I thought, Nico was dad's favorite." Amy rolled her eyes.
"You mean, I'm stuck with her?" Karolina chuckled.
Andre drape his arm around Hana's shoulders, "I don't mind being stuck with you forever."
"Good," Hana smiles, "cause you cannot getting rid of me."
