As Hana sat in the waiting room of the psychiatrist, which was recommended by Andre George, she opened a magazine and noticed a boy staring at her. The boy had a wizphone, Hana just focused on her- magazine til she heard... "How did you get out of the house?!"
Hana looks up, "Hello mother." Hana placed the magazine to the side, "How did you even know where I am?"
Robert showed his phone, "You look like your mother and when someone posted that she was in a clinic when she was sitting across from me..."
"Minoru, Hana!" a nurse came out with a clipboard. Hana sighs, uncrosses her legs, and picks up her purse; she then got up and walked towards the nurse. "Dr. Gonzalez will see you now."
Hana nods and walks in the door. As Hana sat on the couch, she takes out her phone and starts texting.
The doctor clears her throat, "Ms. Minoru, I assume?"
"Oh... um... yes, but call me Hana, please." Hana stood up and shook the doctor's hand.
"Jillian Gonzalez." Jillian smiled, "So, I see on your records that you were diagnosed with clinical depression by Dr. Murakami in Japan... suffered concussion in Nepal, years later, but haven't seen a doctor for three months; any reason for that?"
"I'm sure you've heard from Andre about what happened on Valentine's;" Hana sighs, "How I disappeared into the top floor and returned with a traumatizing experience."
"He might have mentioned it," Jillian nodded, "but what did happened?"
Hana sat up, "My little sister's girlfriend's dad- well, step dad- texted me using her phone to meet her in the top floor. So, I went but when I felt something was up I called my mother's bodyguard... then I had a panic attack but I was not really scared of Frank so why did I have a panic attack?"
"You said you called your mother's bodyguard, yes?" Jillian asked. Hana nodded, as Jillian continued, "Tell me about your life..."
Hana slouched, "I grew up in a small apartment with two loving parents then at the age of eight I my sister, Amy, was born. At age 11 my parents' company blew up and we moved to Brentwood, then two months later, mom announced she was pregnant, again. Weeks after my 17th birthday, I came home with mom packing my stuff and telling me I was to move to Japan, I stayed in Japan for nine years. At age 21 I started my company, two years later my company went worldwide and became the biggest tech company in Japan then the Eastern Hemisphere. I finally told my sister, Nico and Amy, then my dad but not my mom. My 8th year in Japan, Amy called panicking; it was the day she died. To make it worse I couldn't even go to the funeral... I begged, pleaded but it didn't help."
"You said you started your company and it became huge, did you have help from your relatives?"
"No, because I didn't need it."
"I think I see the problem," Jillian placed her pen on the desk, "you're not used to receiving help or even asking for it, so you're panic attack came from you calling your mom's bodyguard..."
"Oh great!" Hana sarcastically exclaimed, "I get panic attacks from asking help... Doc, can you help me deal with that?"
"That's what I'm here for..."
Hana smiles, "Thanks. So, same time next week?"
"Yep." Jillian nodded.
Hana leaves.
"Did you tell your story?" Guita asked her friend.
Hana nods, "I told her my herstory."
Robert looks over at Tina and mouths, "Herstory?"
"What is a herstory?" Tina asked.
"You've heard of history?" Hana smiles, "It's like that except 'his'- a masculine pronoun- is replaced with 'hers'- a feminine pronoun.l"
"You've been spending too much time with the Yorkes girl..." Robert sighs.
Guita chuckles, "Where do you think Gertrude Yorkes learned the whole social justice movement?" Guita gestures to Hana, "Atlas Academy's 2000s Social Justice Ninja Warrior."
"Try having that written on every visible part of your body." Hana glared at Guita.
"It wasn't my fault that you blacked-" Guita began to defend.
Hana gasped, "Hey, if you hadn't served me so much... um... almonds, I wouldn't have fallen asleep!"
"Uhuh..." Robert opens the door, "Let's pretend Tina and I actually believe you... how old were you when this happened? 16? 17?"
Hana smirks as she got out of the clinic, "Actually mom, dad, we were 14." Hana immediately grabbed her friend's hand and drags her to the bus, "See you at home!" she calls to her parents.
"14 and she was already drinking alcohol, partying, and heaven knows what else." Tina looked at her husband worried, "Are we bad parents?"
Robert sighs and drapes his right arm around Tina's shoulders, "Probably, but doesn't mean we can't make it up to her and Nico..."
