Everyone deserves a second chance, right? Hana Minoru will have to learn this the hard way... Tina gave Robert a second chance. Can Hana give both her parents another chance?

she stared at a piece of mail that was handed to her by her assistant. The letter states:
To whom this may concern: My name is Nico Minoru, daughter of Kristina Minoru and direct descendant of Akari Minoru. I am writing for the sole purpose of asking to be considered for a spot at the school.
Respectfully yours,
Nico Minoru
Hana clears her throat, "Did either of my parents know about this?"
"Unfortunately, no..." the assistant states.
"I'll take care of this..." Hana sighs as she shoves the letter back to the envelope and placing it neatly in her black purse.
Five hours later, Hana walks out the pool area:

and she looks around for an empty spot. As she was about to give up, there it was an empty lounge wooden chair far enough from the parents so that she won't be flooded by their questions.
Hana sat down on the chair; putting her big sunglasses on and relaxing. When she felt someone sit by her legs, Hana pulls up her glasses. "What's up, mother?"
Tina looks at her daughter, "Why aren't you swimming?"
"Eh..." Hana shrugs. Reaching for the envelope in her purse and hands it to her mother.
"What is this?" Tina asked.
"A letter..." Hana puts her sunglasses on her eyes.
Tina opens the envelope, takes out the paper, and reads it, as Robert walks behind Tina. "What?" Robert questions.
Tina shows the letter to her husband, then whispered, "Nico..."
As both her parents turn to watch Nico and Amy, Hana reapplied sunblock. "Block the sun, why don't you?" Hana rolls her eyes.
Tina got up and moved away with Robert, Robert looks curiously at Hana's direction, "What's wrong with her?"
Tina looks at Hana direction, "Oh."
"What?" Robert questioned.
"Never mind." Tina shook her head, "Nico?"
Nico stood up, "Huh?"
Tina passed the letter to her daughter, "Explain."
Nico wide eyed, "Where'd you get this?"
"Does it matter?"
"Okay," Nico sighs, "fine, I've been looking at the New York Sanctum of Kamar-Taj."
"Did you really think they won't see the name Minoru and transfer it to the LA Sanctum of Kamar-Taj to me?" Hana asked, "Why didn't you just come to me?"
"Cause, like you," Nico nodded her head, "I want to make it without the help of anyone..."
"Well, then you need practice..." Hana smiles, "when trying to make it on your own. Don't mention grandmother or mother's name. You, also, might want to go with Nico M. it adds mystery to your whole persona, never go by Minoru, until you feel you made it."
Leslie clears her throat, "Congratulations are in order... to Gert, Alex, Chase, and Karolina."
"And Nico..." Robert added.
"Gert got accepted to Smith University." Dale announced, "Your mom and I are very proud..."
"Alex got accepted to MIT." Catherine boasted.
Hana gasped looking at her phone, "Oh!"
"What?" Geoffrey asked.
Hana smiles at Nico, "You got accepted to the New York Sanctum!"
"Are you serious?!" Nico's eyes widens, "How do you even know?"
"Received an email..." Hana admits, "from Ms. Maximoff. According to her, she won't treat you any different from the others, so no special treatments..."
"Karolina was accepted to NYU..." Leslie announces.
Janet stood up, "Chase is going to USC for Sports medicine..."
"This is for the woman who inspired us all." Alex raised his glass, "Hana."
