Hana and Nico were pulled into their father's office the minute they arrived home; Robert sat on his desk. "Sit girls..."
Hana looks at her sister, "What is this dad? What could be so important that you needed to talk to the both of us right away?"
"And why isn't mom a part of the conversation?" Nico asked.
Hana nodded, "Are we going to talk about her?"
"I am all for that," Nico smiled, "I mean what was her outburst about? It was completely uncalled for..."
"Girls, please." Robert stood up he walked around the table, "Sit down."
Hana nods and turns to Nico, who scoffed. "Fine!" Nico rolled her eyes, as she and Hana sat down.
"Thank you..." Robert nodded, gratefully, but a glance at his older daughter, Robert could see how angry Hana was. "Hey, I'm sorry for your mother's outburst... We just-"
"You just what, dad?" Hana asked.
Robert rubbed the back of his neck, "We just want you, two, to be a success... And yes, we can go overboard-"
"You call her planning our entire future, overboard?!" Nico demanded.
Robert sneers, "Can I finish a statement?! Your mother and I love you, both, very much; and yes, we go overboard, at times, but that's only to ensure your protection..."
Hana stood up, "And how is having a kid protecting us?"
Robert turns around and looks at his wedding photo on the desk, he smiles, "The first time I saw your mother-"
"We know!" Hana and Nico said in unisons.
"You walked in the library with another girl and saw mom sitting alone..." Nico started.
"Your eyes met; you broke up with the other girl and went to work for grandma..." Hana continues.
"And the rest was history!" Both women ended in unison.
"Having you, Hana, was the greatest joy to ever come to your mother, then years later Amy was born then you, Nico." Robert explains, "In your mother's side of the family, the only way to have protection is by having a baby."
Hana smirks, "Wouldn't having a baby be a sign of not using protection correctly?"
"Okay," Robert annoyed, "you are dismissed."
As both Hana and Nico left the room, Tina walks in.
Robert slumps down his seat rubbing his temples.
"So I take it the apology didn't go well..." Tina sighs.
"Ha!" Robert scoffed.
Tina shook her head, "Remember our first date? What you told me..."
Robert looks up at his wife, Tina walks closer, "You said, whatever happens you and I are a team..." Tina sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Well, the team has added a couple of players."
Robert smiles, "What's your plan, coach?"
