(HARRY)

It would be the understatement of the year to say im bored out of my mind. Yes, Lisa said she'd pay me by the hour but these three and half hours seemed to take forever to pass by. Literally noone felt like coffee today which left me to stand behind a counter in an empty shop. I watched the clock tick by and somehow i kind of found it entertaining. Something about the sounds that came from the ticking clock relaxed me. It gave me a moment to finally think about my life and where i was going with it. For some reason though, every time i tried to fill in the blank page in my brain, it got blanker. For the first time in a long time, i had no idea who i really was. I had no bestfriend anymore, i quit the football team and studying to become a lawyer also seemed bothersome these days. It was almost like someone had rebooted me and forced me to start over.

The thought of dropping out of school came and went before i could even blink. Law became my career choice because my dad is a lawyer and he wants me to follow in his footsteps. You need something practical Harry,  he always said. It was more his dream than mine.I went with it because i lived in his house. I wouldn't even be in school if i hadn't chosen law. He'd probably tell me to pay for it myself if i wanted anything else. For some unfamiliar reason, the idea of staying here, in school, wasn't so appealing anymore.

I ran pointless circles on the counter with my fingers. My fingertips now had brown stains on them because the counter had just been revarnished. Using the hem of my t-shirt, i wiped off the dirt and then went back to drawing pointless circles. I just really wished someone could walk in and end my boredom.

As if on queue, the door flung open and the bell rung as always. My head shot up from the palm of my hand, only for me to see Ed and Kevin hurry through in excitement. Niall and Louis tagged along behind them. They had obviously just come from winning a game judging from the uniforms and wide smiles. Ed and Kevin came up to me but the other two stayed a bit behind and i knew why. Both of them went from smiles to frowns as soon as they looked at me. I felt so bad to be the one that was making people sad. And not just any people.

"Harry, mate! It's been too long man," Kevin said first.

"Yeah, he seems to be partying with everyone except us these days," Ed joked with a sly smirk spread across his face.

"What can i get you boys?" i laughed and brushed off their previous comments.

Ed shook his head to tell me he didn't want anything and then moved closer to the counter. "We actually just saw you in here and i suggested inviting you to join us."

For a second i looked over at Louis and Niall who were having a conversation. I didn't think either of them were excited about me joining.

"I can't. I've got to finish off my shift here and its like you said, mid-terms are coming up." i respectfully declined.

"Oh c'mon Haz. Just one more night. It'll be fun."

"Yeah theres a band performing and i heard they're really good."

"You're really not helping Kev." i joked.

They both laughed and continued looking at me with puppy eyes. Gosh.

guess one more night couldnt hurt, even if my ex boyfriend and bestfriend were there. Atleast i'd be out of here. I didn't think Lisa would know if i left half an hour earlier. Its not like anyone wanted to buy coffee right now. It might also give me a chance to talk to Niall. That's if he lets me.
