12| The black dog

"Blimey! What was that?" Hagrid asked. Diana walked over and picked up the rock that had broken the vase but before she got a good look at it it was snatched out of her hand by Hermione.

"Ow!" Harry said as he rubbed the back of his head. 

"What is it?" Diana asked unamused. 

Harry ignored her question. 

"Hagrid" Harry said and signaled for Hagrid to come to the window. "Oh, crickey" Hagrid muttered as the minister, Dumbledore, and the man performing the execution made their way closer to the hut.

"It's late. It's nearly dark. You shouldn't be here... someone sees you outside this time of night, you'll be in trouble" Hagrid told the four kids. "Particularly you, Harry" Hagrid reminded him.

"Quick. Quick!" Hagrid said and signaled for them to leave through the back entrance. 

"Hagrid, It'll be fine. It'll be okay" Harry said before rushing out of the hut.

The four of them ran and hid behind some pumpkins. There was a noise of a branch snapping behind them and this caught the girls attention. They then exchanged a look and turned back to look ahead.

"What?" Harry asked. "I thought I just saw... nevermind" Hermione said. "let's go" Ron said and began running back up to the castle. But then stopped at the top of the hill and watched as the axe swung up then down and the black crows started screeching and flying around.

Hermione rested her head on Ron's shoulder and wrapped her arms around him. Harry didn't get the memo and hugged Hermione, hugging Ron. 

'Innocent blood would be spilt' Diana thought as she stood idly by. 

The moment for the trio was ruined when Scabbers bit Ron and then ran away. "He bit me." Ron said. 

'Whatever you do don't follow the rat' Diana prayed.

"Scabbers!" Ron said as he then decided to follow the rat.

'motherfucker' Diana thought as now Harry and Hermione were also following Ron.

Ron made it to the Whomping Willow tree and then threw himself on the ground as he grabbed the rat. "Scabbers. You bitme, can't do that" Ron lectured his rat.

"harry, do you realize what tree this is?" Hermione asked. "That's not good" Harry said. 'Yeah no kidding' Dian thought. "Ron, run!" Harry shouted.

"Harry, Hermione, run!" Ron said as he pointed behind them. A black dog appeared behind the three kids.

'Sirius Black?' Diana thought.

"It's the Grim!" Ron said. The dog jumped over Harry, Hermione, and Diana and ran towards Ron. And began pulling him away.

"Ron!" Hermione shouted. "Ron, wait!" Harry said. The three kids ran after Ron. "Harry!" Ron cried as he was being dragged along.

"Just let go of the rat!" Diana advised. 

Hermione and Harry stared at Diana. "Like that's gonna help" Harry told her. 

"It will, just trust me!" Diana told them.

But none the less Ron didn't listen to Diana and got dragged into a hole in the ground under the Whomping Willow.

'Bloody hell' Diana thought and without hesitating got on the ground and fell through the hole in an attempt to get Ron back.

"Diana!" Hermione yelled as the girl was gone.

Diana saw as the black dog kept dragging Ron away. "Diana! Please" Ron cried. 

Diana followed after the two of them not bothering to wait for Harry or Hermione.
