"He what?" Hermione asked as she put her books back on the shelves. "I saw them in the hallway and Harry mentioned something about Ron being on a love potion" Diana said. Hermione rolled her eyes, "Lavender's doing, I suppose" Hermione muttered.
"I don't think so. They are already dating or whatever. I'm almost positive it was Romilda Vane. You did say she was trying to slip Harry a love potion, she probably did but in a more discrete form like candy. And we both know Ron can't keep his hands off candy, he probably ate it and had the potion effect him" Diana said.
Hermione shrugged and when she had put her last book away sighed. "How are you? I mean, with the whole Sapphire Spawn thing. You don't actually believe that, do you?" Hermione asked. "Why else would I be having these blue eyes and flames? I mean, she was a Bennett witch, so it only makes me more nervous" Diana said, to which Hermione shook her head.
"You are not going to suddenly become evil" Hermione said. "She did" Diana mumbled, "Aurelia had motive, her whole village was murdered and she had lost control. That won't happen to you. Ever" Hermione said as she pulled Diana into a hug.
"I'm sorry to break this up but you two need to come to the Hospital Wing with me" Ginny said as she practically dragged the girls with her. "May I ask why?" Hermione asked as she continued walking at a quicker pace than normal.
"My brother's been poisoned" Ginny said, with that Hermione managed to break free of Ginny's grasp and was practically running. Diana and Ginny followed after the bushy haired girl, barley managing to keep up.
The girl's made it to the infirmary and saw Ron unconscious on a bed. Harry had been seated next to Ron's bed but stood up so Hermione could sit, Ginny sitting in the other free chair.
Diana stood by Harry, "what happened?" she asked Harry. "He had been under a strong love potion, I took him to Slughorn to get him fixed and while he was drinking some poisoned drink he collapsed, started foaming at the mouth, and shaking. Quick thinking lead me to use Bezoar and then Slughorn brought him here"
McGonagall, Dumbledore, and Snape had been entering the room and looked shocked, McGonagall being the only one who was worried. Diana overheard Slughorn say that the poisoned drink was Mead that was a given to him so that he could gift it to Dumbledore.
From the corner of her eye she saw Snape's reaction to those words and how he seemed to be the slightly disappointed. 'Snape looking disappointed isn't anything new. But is he disappointed at the feeble attempt at murder or that Dumbledore never got a chance to drink it? Snape wouldn't have done it. This is too foolish for his liking... Draco did mention not wanting to do as tasked, could his task be to kill Dumbledore?' These thoughts filled Diana's head.
Only she had been abruptly taken out of her thoughts when she felt someone shove past her. Diana saw Lavender now in the room, looking agitated. "What is she doing here?" Lavender asked, referring to Hermione. "Might I ask you the same question" Hermione shot back as she stood up from her chair.
Ginny and Diana exchanged glances as they knew both girl's jealous had spiked. "I happen to be his girlfriend!" Lavender reminded Hermione. "I happen to be his... friend" Hermione said, Lavender scoffed, "Friend? You haven't spoken in weeks".
"They've been best friends since they were eleven, you are aware, right?" Diana suddenly spoke out. The professor's heads swung back and forth between the girls watched and listening as if it were a reality tv show. "What's that supposed to mean?" Lavender asked. "It means that Hermione had actually has more of a reason to be here seeing as her friend of six years hurt, then his girlfriend of three months" Diana said.
Lavender shifted her head to Ginny, as if the red head would be on her side. Ginny decided to stay quiet, although the smirk on her face spoke for itself. "I suppose you want me to break up with him seeing as he's all interesting" Lavender told Hermione. "He's been poisoned to daft dimbo!" Hermione exclaimed.
"And for the record I've always found him interesting" Hermione muttered. Harry had been silent and standing around the entire time. Watching with his mouth in an 'o' shape. Ron let out a subtle groan and Lavender practically jumped up, "see? He senses my presences".
"I don't think that's the case. I think it's from the medicine the nurse gave him" Ginny said. Lavender ignored Ginny, "don't worry Won Won, I'm here". Ginny stared at the dirty blonde girl and shook her head. Ron started to open his mouth to speak, the only word he said was, "Hermione".
Lavender glared at Hermione. "Point goes to the best friend" Ginny said. Lavender scoffed and let out a slight scream before leaving the infirmary.
Diana tuned out Dumbledore, Diana instead watching her best friend smile as she held Ron's hand. She felt Harry's fingers interlock with her own, and the two walked out of the infirmary. "They are going to get married someday" Diana told him. "No doubt about that" Harry nodded as the couple walked down the stairs.
The two saw Malfoy walking in the opposite direction and this caught Harry's attention. Diana had not told him anything so Harry still assumed he was a Death Eater while Diana already knew for a fact. Harry let go of Diana's hand and followed the Slytherin boy. Diana didn't even bother, as she had a feeling she knew where Malfoy was heading off to.

The next morning while the four friends were in the Great Hall, Lavender had been glaring at Hermione and Diana while gripping onto a spoon. Ron noticed this yet hadn't realized he had been making it snow on his three friends.
He then let go of his wand and turned to Hermione, "how exactly did I break up with her?" he asked. Hermione kicked Diana's leg so that the brunette could help her out, seeing as Diana was the most blunt out of the group.
"She went to visit you in the hospital and got jealous seeing Hermione there. A few lines of teenage drama dialogue were exchanged, in the end you said a name that made Lavender envious and she stormed out of the hospital, ending the relationship" Diana said as she didn't even look up from her book.
Ron blinked rapidly at his friend and then turned to Harry, "It was a very entertaining scene" Harry shrugged. "Glad you found my break up amusing" Ron laughed dryly.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm bloody thrilled to be broken up but she seems a little..." Ron couldn't find the right word so he turned to Diana, "begrudged?" Diana suggested. "Yeah, whatever that means" Ron nodded.
Hermione stared at Ron and opened her mouth to explained the word but Harry shook his head, to which Hermione exhaled. Hermione, Ron, and Harry turned around simultaneously to see the fuming Lavender Brown.
"You don't remember anything?" Hermione then asked as she shifted her attention from Lavender to Ron. "Anything at all? At all?" Hermione asked once more, Diana looking up to see a frown forming on Hermione's face.
"There was something" Ron said as he thought about it. Harry's green eyes shifted from Ron to Hermione and then back to Ron. "But it can't be" Ron sighed, "I was completely bonkers, wasn't I? Probably said and did things I didn't mean".
"Yeah..." Hermione mumbled. Diana gave her a sympathetic look while Harry somewhat glared at Ron, neither of which Ron understood as to why.
Hermione saw Katie Bell walking to the other end of the table and turned to Harry. "That's Katie Bell" Hermione told Harry as she signaled to her. Harry stood up instantly and got up and went to talk to Katie Bell, taking the Half Blood Prince's book with him, as he never left it behind.
