56| Aurelia Bennett

Hermione went back to reading while Ron managed to shove more food in his mouth. Diana had been subtly watching Harry and Katie, more or less to see any and all reactions on Harry's face. She knew was Malfoy was, the idiot revealed the Dark Mark to her as if nothing, but she knew he wasn't doing it by choice, she'd always assumed that but it was confirmed after she saw his break down and suicide attempt.

Diana noticed Katie Bell's gaze shift to the entrance of the Great Hall, where Draco Malfoy had been standing looking anxious as hell. Harry turned around and saw the worried Slytherin and got even more suspicious, if possible seeing as Harry practically had a suspect board in his room. 

Malfoy turned around and started walking out of the Great Hall. 'Please don't follow him' Diana though as she saw Harry's determination. But nonetheless Harry followed him out, walking rather quickly so he could catch up. 'Mother fucker' Diana thought as she stood up from the table and followed the two boys.

"Invisique" Diana mumbled, turning invisible and then running, not after Harry but to Malfoy because she knew that whatever was about to happen next wouldn't be good.

It happened rather fast. Diana had been running normally and then she was already at the other side of the corridor, it most definitely was supernatural speed. 'Vampire speed? What the hell I'm not even a- oh whatever' Diana thought but put it to the side for the time being.

Diana was at the entry way of the boy's bathroom as she could see from the doorway that Malfoy had his hand on the side of the sink and was staring at the mirror. He turned the sink on and splashed water on his face, he did this as if it would wash the guilt or paranoia away.

Diana turned around and saw Harry burst into the room, though he didn't do anything, he just stood there. Malfoy saw him but unlike with Diana, he didn't hesitate to start shooting spells at Harry. 

Harry fired back, as was to be expected. Diana hadn't had her wand but luckily for her she was still a Bennett witch. She hated choosing sides for almost everything, but seeing as she didn't want to see any blood on either boy's hand she shot a spell at the first one she saw, Harry.

"Exsurgo" Diana said and with a hand movement telekinetic magic had blasted Harry across the room, having his wand end up on the other side of where he was.

Diana undid the invisibility, Harry knowing it was her who blasted him, he was ecstatic about the idea but she knew her intentions. Not that that was really going to stop him from getting his answers.

Malfoy didn't notice it was Diana standing on the opposite side of the room, so he shot another spell. "Expello" Diana mumbled, having Malfoy's spell bounce off her barrier spell. Hearing a voice that wasn't Harry's made him turn around to see who it was, even though he was almost certain it was Diana.

Neither him nor Diana noticed Harry had gotten up and was sneaking behind Malfoy. "What are you doing here?!" he asked her, raising his voice unknowingly. "Making sure you two don't kill each other" Diana said as if she were stating the obvious.

"Sectumsempra!" Harry said and aimed his wand at Malfoy, "ad somnum" Diana mumbled in a panic. Luckily her spell hitting Malfoy before Harry's, only issue was now that Malfoy was unconscious the spell aimed it way at Diana.

She got shot back and onto the floor, that was now flooding seeing as Harry and Draco's back and forth spells kept breaking more and more things. Harry saw what he had done and panicked, he ran up to Diana only to see she was covered in blood. "What did I do?" Harry asked out loud instead of thinking it.

Harry was about to call for help when he saw Diana's eyes open. Only they were glowing a bright blue. Diana's clothes returned to normal, blood not being seen at all, any and all injuries that she had from the spell had faded. 

She stood up and looked around, as if she had no idea where she was. "Phesmatos Incendia" Diana said, blue flames arose surrounding her, making a perfect circle all around. The blue fire was put out by the water on the ground, it seemed to have absorbed it, which would be impossible seeing as it is fire, but nothing was off the table when it came to magic.

 "What are you doing? Diana?" Harry asked as he saw the blue fire surrounding the girl. "Diana's not here right now. It's Aurelia, her ancestor. But don't worry your little girlfriend will be left alone soon" the Bennett ancestor told him.

"Ad somnum" she said and had Harry pass out before he could say anything. Aurelia had managed to cloak herself, the flames, and the two unconscious people while she did her spell. It was all gibberish to anyone who was not a part of the Bennett bloodline.

The blue flames only grew with her chanting. Her eyes faded from the bright blue to brown, as Aurelia knew the separation spell was working. After a few more minutes for chanting Aurelia's hand slowly turned into a werewolf claw, she cut her hand with her sharp claw and had the blood fall on the blue flames, having them turn from blue to red and then back to blue.

With one final word of the spell, it was complete. The fire dialed down and now it hadn't been Aurelia in Diana's body but two Bennett witches in the same room. Diana almost instantly fell to the ground unconscious once more.

Seeing as Aurelia was no longer in control of Diana, the "Sectumsempra" spell took its affect. Aurelia saw this and although she didn't know the correct spell to fix it she did one better, she transferred all her magic to Diana, making her have all the strength needed to practically reverse the spell.

Diana opened her eyes slowly and saw Aurelia standing a few feet away from her, Diana blinked rapidly as she thought she was seeing things. "You're not going mad. I'm actually here" Aurelia laughed slightly. "You're supposed to be dead" was all Diana managed to say.

"All those years you spent worrying about the blue flames you couldn't control or your glowing blue eyes, that was all me. When I was seventeen everything I loved was taken from me, I went on a spiral and yes, lost control. The same person who destroyed everything I loved then tried killing me" Aurelia began explaining.

"You body jumped. Didn't you? From your body to an ancestor and then as they died you passed on to an ancestor for a thousand years. That way anytime that body you were in died you could jump to the next and not die yourself. Using that body as a shield you never died" Diana slowly put it together.

"You really are smart" Aurelia said. "I finally managed to jump into the body of a Bennett witch, much more powerful than I had thought... you. I was able to control most Bennett's or any other witch who's body I took over, but yours? Never. Maybe for a second which-" Aurelia was slowly cut off by Diana "which is why the flames would spiral out of control. All those times, that was you trying to break free?".

Aurelia nodded, "today after you were blasted with that spell, it almost killed you. Making you weak enough for me to fully take control and separate us. But then the second I was free my magic was keeping you from death so I transferred all my magic to you. You should be immune to just about any spell that is thrown at you".

"So, you're not a witch anymore?" Diana asked. "I'm no longer a witch. Just a werewolf" Aurelia answered, catching Diana of guard. "Why do you think Klaus Mikaelson killed me? He was envious that I was a witch and a werewolf while he couldn't unlock his werewolf side. He found out and destroyed everything I cared about just to show me that I couldn't have it all" Aurelia said.

"Does that make me-" Diana began, "the so called Sapphire Spawn? Yes, technically. But you won't lose control like I did. You had Bonnie to teach you everything you know. Maybe's it's time to change it to Sapphire Witch" Aurelia said.

Footsteps were heard in the distance and Aurelia nodded subtly, Diana used a teleportation spell and sent her to Mystic Falls. She quickly grabbed Harry's wand from the ground, "obliviate" she said and cast the spell on both Harry and Draco, making the forget they were fighting in the first place. 

She then quickly fixed the bathroom so it wasn't a destroyed mess. "Invisique" Diana said and turned herself invisible. "Surgere" Diana said and had both boys wake up from her spell. She then simply walked out of the bathroom and back to the Great Hall.
