"Surgere" Diana said about fifteen minutes later and both boys woke up. Hermione had used the Episkey spell to fix their bloody faces while they were unconscious. "Hi" Diana said and waved at the boys who remained on the ground. The two boys then stood up and rolled their eyes.
"Are you both calm now?" Diana asked, "he punched me in the face!" Harry shouted. "He kissed my sister while dating you!" Ron shouted back.
"We're not dating!" Diana shouted. Ron and Hermione looked stunned at those words. "So when we admitted out feelings for each other and constantly made out, that was us not dating?" Harry asked. "I didn't think we were dating seeing as you always backed away from me the second you heard someone who wasn't Hermione or Ron, you constantly denied that I was you "girlfriend" despite calling me that when it was just the four of us, oh and the big one... you kissed Ginny!" Diana told him.
"Maybe I wouldn't have if you talked to me!" Harry shouted. "So, you kissing someone else is my fault?" she asked. "What does it matter if we were never dating to begin with?!" he continued. "I can just as easily make you pass out again. Watch it" Diana muttered.
"You're threatening me? Are you crazy?!" Harry asked. "You haven't seen crazy, Potter!" Diana shot at him, unknowing that her eyes were glowing a vibrant blue despite having brown eyes.
"Okay, okay, that's enough" Sirius said as he rushed up the stairs. "Hermione, Ron, Diana, go downstairs and cool off. Harry, you come with me" Sirius told the four kids.
~~~ Time jump (after winter break)~~~
A/N- To speed this story a long since it's taking a while to get to sixth year, I'll be basing more off the movies instead of the books... sorry if some things don't make sense.Harry, Hermione, and Ron were on their way to Hagrid's hut the first day back after break. Diana and Harry weren't on speaking terms, Ron was still mad at Harry and was taking Diana's side on everything, and Hermione was on okay terms with Harry while still being on Diana's side. Diana herself had told Hermione and Ron to get on good terms with Harry and not let whatever happened over the break effect the trio's friendship, but that was easier said then done on Ron's behalf.
Diana had been sitting with Neville that morning for breakfast. She had been finishing up New Moon, the Twilight squeal she began reading the previous night. Neville let out a sigh as he folded up a copy of The Daily Prophet. "What's wrong?" Diana asked, "read for yourself" Neville said and handed her the newspaper.
"Mass breakout from Azkaban? That's horrible" Diana didn't realize she was speaking out loud. "Bellatrix Lastrange is free" Neville mumbled, "she, um... my parents are in St Mungo's for life now after she used Crucio on them multiple times, to get information".
"Neville, that's awful. I'm so sorry" Diana said, "not really much that can be done now" he muttered. "Dumbledore warned Fudge this could happen" Diana heard Hermione say. She turned around and saw the Golden Trio walking over. Ron was behind the pair and still looked mad.
"He's gonna get us all killed because he can't face the truth" Hermione told the boys. "Harry" Seamus called out, Hermione and Ron's gaze shifted towards Diana and sat next to her as Seamus apologized to Harry.
"So, we are basically goners? That's what you're saying?" Diana asked rather bluntly. "If Fudge can't own up to the truth, then maybe, yes" Hermione answered. "Lovely" Diana exhaled, "things will turn around for the better" Hermione tried sounding optimistic "let's hope so" Ron muttered.
Diana didn't attend any further D.A meetings, even when Ron practically begged her to or when Hermione tried dragging her there by force, Diana wouldn't budge. She knew if she were there Harry would be distracted and too angry to teach and she didn't want to be a bother sos he stayed behind and practiced spells in her dorm.
One particular night out of the rest it was a good idea that Diana hadn't gone to the Room of Requirements. Diana had been on her way back from the library when she saw Harry being dragged to Dumbledore's office by Percy Weasley.
"Stop" Percy called out to Diana as he saw her. "What are you doing out past curfew?" Percy asked. "I was returning books to the library" Diana answered. "I don't see any books in your hands" Percy raised an eyebrow. "I already returned them. That's why I said 'I was' not 'I am'..." Diana told the most annoying Weasley.
Percy rolled his eyes and shifted his glare towards Harry. "Did she have anything to do with this?" Percy asked Harry. "No, she didn't" Harry lied, which caught Diana by surprise.
"Very well then. You, off to your dormitory. Potter, we still have business to attend to" Percy said as he dragged Harry up the stairs to Dumbledore's office. Once Diana was sure that they had entered the room and no one was around she said "Preitor Speculo" and watched the wall become see through on her behalf. Meaning she could see what was going on but no inside could see her.
It was in moments like this were Diana wished she had vamp hearing but instead she tried a spell Josie learned that was basically an eavesdropping spell, only issue was that it didn't last long.
"Dumbledore's Army. Proof of what I've been telling you all along" Umbridge told Fudge as she handed him the parchment that Hermione had everyone sign on day one. "We saw your lies like a smoke through glass as an attempt to take control of the Ministry" Umbridge rambled for a bit.
"No, professor! He had nothing to do with it. It was all me" Harry told Umbridge. "Most noble of you, Harry, to shield me but as it's written on the parchment it's 'Dumbledore's Army' not 'Potter's Army'. Therefore this is on me and me alone" Dumbledore spoke rather calmly.
Diana's spell was wearing off, all she heard was "escort Dumbledore to Azkaban". But she was still able to see what was going on and it was shocking to see Dumbledore clap his hands above his head and make a "stylish" exit.
Diana quickly mumbled the spell to reverse the glass wall and then said "Invisique". Harry had stormed out of the office looking furious but also guilty, he passed right by Diana and she was so thankful she did the invisibility spell.
"Dolores Jane Umbridge has replaced Albus Dumbledore as Head of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" Diana read the sign that Filch previously put on the wall. "As if this couldn't have gotten any worse" Ron sighed. "This is Jumanji level two" Diana said, Ron and Hermione nodded to that while Harry looked straight ahead without saying a word.
"Miss Bennett" Umbridge called out from behind the four of them. "It has been brought to my attention that you were also a part of this 'Dumbledore's army' rubbish" she told the girl. "I already told Percy that she wasn't a part of it" Harry told Umbridge.
"And yet I seem to have found her name on the piece of parchment" Umbridge pointed out. "I had her sign it in case she did decide to join, but she never did. She didn't even know where we were meeting" Hermione lied.
"Nonetheless. I'll see you four in detention later today. Oh, Miss Bennett and Mr Potter, be prepared to stay longer and write a few extra lines fro lying to authority" Umbridge smiled.
The four watched as Umbridge walked away and Diana rolled her eyed. "One word. One word and I could burn that woman alive" Diana muttered. "I wish I could do that" Ron mumbled. "That's enough, both of you" Hermione said. The pair stared at her, "what? someone might hear" Hermione grinned slightly.
