As always Dumbledore had his annual welcome back speech for all the students. Only difference is this time it was announced that Hogwarts would be sting the Triwizard Tournament. After the entrance of both additional schools, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, rules were set that you must be at least seventeen to enter. And the auror Alastor Moody was at Hogwarts.

The gryffindor students noticed Moody drinking something and then shaking his head afterwards "what do you suppose he's drinking?" Seamus asked Harry. "I don't know, but It surely isn't Pumpkin Juice" the raven haired boy answered.

'That auror must be filling if for DADA teacher. But the way things go with Defense Against the Dark Arts professors... you can never seem to sure. Lupin has been the only good one so far and something tells me he'll be the only good one. What is Moody drinking? Why have that kind of reaction? I am definitely overthinking this' Diana thought to herself.

"Ana, pay attention" Hermione said as she snapped her fingers in Diana's face. "Right" Diana mumbled as she continued paying attention, for the most part.

"I am your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. I am here because Dumbledore asked me to. That's it. No more. The end" Moody told the class.

'That seems odd already' Diana though. 'No. Stop it. Not everyone is a bad guy. You are overthinking this' she told herself.

"I believe in a practical approach when it comes to the dark arts" Moody told the class. "But first. Which one of you can tell me how many unforgivable curses there are?" he asked.

"Three, sir" Hermione spoke out since no one else did.

"And they are named this, why?" he asked as he wrote on a chalkboard. "Because they are unforgivable" Hermione said. "Using anyone of them will-" she said but was cut of by Moody "will earn you a one way ticket to Azkaban. Correct".

"Now, the ministry thinks you are too young to see what these curses do. I say different! You need to know what you're up against! You need to be prepared!" Moody shouted.

"So, which curse should we use first?" he asked

'You just said that using any of these would send you to Azkaban and they are unforgivable because they do terrible things... and you want to use them in a classroom. He's definitely suspicious now. I don't care if he's an auror or not. People can be liars. And I don't trust liars' Diana thought.

"Weasley!" Moody shouted. "Yes?" Ron asked as he sounded scared. "Stand" Moody sai and Ron did as told, "give us a curse". "Well... my dad did tell me about one. The Imperius Curse" Ron answered.

"Your father would know all about that. Gave the ministry quite a bit of grief, years ago... perhaps this will show you why" Moody said and walked to the front of the classroom and grabbed a bug. He then used magic to enlarge the bug and cast the Imperio curse on it making it jump from desk, to desk.

'Sure this is funny now but that curse is really dangerous in the wrong hands. It wouldn't be a joking matter if it was being used on someone to do awful things. I already don't like where this is going and it's clear that Hermione is thinking the same thing I am'.

"Multiple witches and wizard said they only did You-Know-Who's bidding under the Imperio curse, but how do we sort out the liars?" Moody asked.

'Veritaserum?' Diana thought.

"Another, another" Moody said. Multiple students raised their hands but Moody called on Neville, who raised his hand ever so slightly.

"Longbottom. Up. Now give me another curse" Moody said but Neville was shaking and seemed to nervous to answer. "Come on now" Moody encouraged.
