"Why do they always have to travel in packs?" Harry asked Ron as they passed through the courtyard. "They are teenage girls, not werewolves" Diana said as she walked up to them. "I think I'd have better chances of asking a werewolf to the dance" Harry told her.
"Not really, I've met a few and they are feisty and don't like hanging around with other non-wolves" Diana said. "Do you think you could get one of your wolf girl friends to go to the dance with me, that way I don't have to ask" Ron said.
"Did you not just hear what I said?" Diana asked. The two boys shook their heads and Diana smacked both of them. "Just pick a girl who somewhat interests you and ask her" Diana said.
"Diana, would you-" Ron began and Diana hit him in the arm "I didn't mean me" she laughed. "If you want to ask your friend to the ball might as well ask Hermione" she told Ron, watching him get pink in the face.
"That's a completely mental idea" Ron said awkwardly "then why are you blushing?" Harry teased. "Fleur Delacour" Ron said. Harry and Diana exchanged a look, "you want to ask a Veela to the Yule Ball?" Harry asked.
"I heard she's going with Cedric Diggory" Diana told him. "Not if I ask her first" Ron said and ran off.
"That won't end well" Harry laughed. "Not at all" Diana said. "So, who do you plan on asking to the ball?" she asked as they walked past a judgemental group of Ravenclaw girls.
'You'
"I don't know yet" Harry lied. "I say you figure that out soon because it seems most people are already getting dates and the dance isn't for a while" Diana told him as they entered the castle. "Have you got a date?" Harry asked not knowing if he wanted to know the answer.
Before Diana got a chance to answer Hermione ran up to them and dragged Diana back. "Nice to see you too, Hermione" Harry said as he watched Hermione drag Diana out of the corridor.
"What are you doing?" Diana asked as they finally came to a stop. "It's obvious Harry wants to ask you to the ball" Hermione told her.
"Okay, and? I told you I'm not going" Diana said and received a hit in the arm. "Well I feel as though I should have told you..." Hermione said cautiously.
~Flashback~
"I don't need the entire dorm to know" Hermione said. "We are the only ones in here lovergirl!" Diana told her nand Hermione rolled her eyes "still". Diana then got up and headed for the door "aren't you going to send your letter?" Hermione asked."I will, just not yet. I have to write back to Josie as well or else they'll think i'm favoring one over the other. I just need to go get my wand from the library, I left it in there while I was working on my homework" Diana said.
"Can you return some of my library books, please?" Hermione asked. "Sure" Diana said and watched as Hermione grabbed five books and handed them to Diana. "Let me guess, light reading?" she asked Hermione, who only scoffed.
When Diana was gone Hermione opened the letter and grabbed one of Diana's pens and added onto the letter:
Hi, this is Hermione Granger, one of Diana's friends. Please send her dress over today. I have a feeling someone wants to ask her and I really want her to go.Afterwards she enchanted what she wrote so that it would be visible to the receiver of the letter and not Diana.
~End Flashback~
"Hermione!" Diana groaned after Hermione explained it to her. "I would say I'm sorry but I'm really not" Hermione told her.
"It doesn't matter because I will not be going to the dance" Diana said. "I think you'll change your mind when you see your dress" Hermione said. "You already saw my dress?!" Diana asked. "Only part of it. I was curious" Hermione told her.
