Chapter 66

*Aurora's POV*

As Draco and I walk down the stairs I could feel my stomach start to tighten a bit once I see his father sitting at the end of the large table, he watches as Draco leads me to a chair and he pulls the chair out for me as I sit down, he scoots me in and I turn to the side facing him and I smile

He looks over at his father and he back at me and he quickly places a kiss on my cheek and then he walks over around the table and sits down in front of me, his mother comes by and places food down on the table and I intertwine my fingers together nervously

Nothing has been said it's completely silent and very awkward if I'm being honest, Draco's mother sits down at the other end of the table and I remain silent not knowing if I should say anything or not, I look at Draco and he playfully winks at me causing me to let out a very small giggle

Both his and my eyes dart across the room as we watch his father get up, he walks over to a counter and grabs what appears to be a letter and I look at Draco which he's already looking at me confused, Draco's father walks over to me and drops the letter right in front of me harshly causing me to flinch a bit and Draco's eyes narrow as he bites down on the side of his cheek looking at his father with an annoyed expression

"It's for you Aurora" Narcissa says softly

"That means open it" Lucious says sternly

"Maybe she doesn't want to open it right now, can we just eat or else I'm taking the food up into my room and me and Aurora will eat there" Draco says harshly

"Watch your tone with me boy" Lucious says as his hands curl into fists

"Both of you enough, Aurora I'm truly sorry for their bickering, you don't need to open it now how about we just eat first? Maybe everyone else can shut their mouthes for a little?" Narcissa says looking at Draco and Lucious

I smile at Draco's mother and I place the letter aside, I haven't even read who it's from yet but it's most likely from Hogwarts so I could care less

As we all get our food everything goes back to being silent and awkward, if this is how Draco has had to live this entire time I feel horrible for him, his father is a complete dick towards him all the time but at least his mother is able to stick up for herself unlike mine

Once we finish eating Draco and I excuse ourselves from the table, the food was delicious but it was just so.. gloomy, I pick up the letter holding onto it as Draco walks over to me grabbing my free hand and we walk around and back up the stairs into his room, he plops down onto the bed and I sit down down in front of him

"I'm sorry that was total shit out there love" Draco says as he lets out a sigh

"The food was good..?" I say smiling

"My mother sure does know how to cook thats for sure" Draco says smirking

Draco sits up crossing his legs as he grabs my legs and pulls me forward onto his lap, I let out a small giggle as I place my forehead against his looking at him, he moves his head back a bit and places a small kiss to my forehead and I look down at the letter

"Should probably open that now hm?" Draco says as he leans back against the headboard

I flip the letter over and my eyes widen once I see the handwriting on the envelope, it looks just like my mothers handwriting and my heart skips a beat as I quickly rip the envelope and I pull out the letter quickly

"Slow down darling, it's not going anywhere" Draco says letting out a small chuckle

"It's from my mother?" I say looking up at him confused

He quickly jerks forward tilting his head to the side as I look down and begin to read what the letter says

"Dear Aurora
   Hello my sweet girl, I know I haven't spoken to you in what feels like forever and I'm truly sorry, I need your help baby and I can't say much because if he knows I'm writing this to you then.. I just need you to come home, I want to leave him Aurora but I don't know how. Please, I know you don't owe me anything but I want my daughter back, I need you Aurora, I want a home just for me and you so we don't have to deal with your father anymore. I cant say anymore and I must go now but please come back home.
  - Mom"

I quickly get up from Draco's lap, I don't have time to even think right now, the only thing I need to do is go help my mother, I quickly walk into my room and I grab my bags and Draco comes in and grabs onto my wrist

"What the hell are you doing?" Draco says

"Helping my mother, now get off of me" I say

"Your just going to go back to that fucking place? By yourself? Are you completely out of your damn mind right now?" Draco says

I quickly free myself from his grip and I shove past him, I walk down the stairs and without saying anything to his parents I walk out of the door. My only priority right now is helping my mother, she's never asked me to help her like this so I know there's something more going on that she isn't telling me or that she's not aloud to tell me.

Unfortunately for me my parents live in the muggle world in a beaten down house, Ever since my sister died my father would use the money that my mother would make to buy pills, drugs and whatever would 'make him feel better' but really he was just putting our lives in danger, I've always hated the idea of leaving my mom behind with him but she had to let me go to Hogwarts so I was protected since I was the one being abused all the time, and now I'm about to go back into that abusive household..

I can tell as I'm walking there's someone behind me, I quickly turn around and Draco looks at me with an annoyed expression, he has a bag over his shoulder which I'm assuming is extra clothes. I let out frustrated sigh and I roll my eyes at him annoyed by the fact he's been following me this entire time but I'm not surprised

"What the hell are you doing" I say

"Coming with you, now let's go" Draco says grabbing onto my hand tightly
