Astrid stood on the very edge of a sea stack as a thunderstorm raged above. Rain poured down in crazy chaotic drops, the gusting wind carrying them in wild vortices one moment and in diagonal sheets the next. It ran down her face as a thick layer as if it meant to wash her away like it meant to keep hammering until she smudged like a Monet masterpiece. She threw her hand out, causing a fork of lightning to tear through the village. Thor himself would be proud.

StarGazer fought her way through the sky, landing on that very sea stack. Oakley slid off of her dragon and trudged through the mud she suddenly found herself standing in.

"You lied to me!" Astrid scowled, sensing her girlfriend's presence.

"No, I didn't. Because you didn't hurt me." Oakley explained. "I did. They're my powers. And it was my anger that started this. I was mad at Stoick for lying to me about who I was. But, he's still my father and I love him."

"That's not the only thing he lied to you about."

"I'm sure that's true. But, that's not important right now."

"You're not mad at him anymore." The blonde stated.

"No, I'm mad at myself."

"It's your fault." Astrid hissed.

"That's me speaking." Oakley noticed. "I don't wanna talk to me. I wanna talk to Astrid."

"Astrid's gone."

Oakley made her way to the edge by her girlfriend's side, desperately hoping the wind wasn't strong enough to push her over the ledge.

"I don't believe that.' The brunette insisted. "Astrid Hofferson is stronger than I have ever been. But, I think she's been holding back."

The blonde threw her hand out once again and the lightning raged across the skies. Oakley grabbed Astrid by the shoulders and spun her to face her.

"Okay Astrid, I know you can hear me!" She growled. "We're running out of time. Your mom is in the great hall with Heather. Gothi is trapped at the cove with the rest of Berk. If you don't snap out of this, your mother is going to die!" She snapped. "I know that neither of us wants that!"

"That's what I do." Astrid sighed.

"No, it's not." Oakley frowned. "And I'm gonna prove it." The brunette took another step closer to the edge. She gazed down at the raging sea below. She let her toes hang over the edge.

"You'll never do it." Astrid scoffed, rolling her eyes. "You can't even swim."

"Then it seems you don't know me as well as you thought." Oakley spun around. "To keep Astrid safe. And protect Berk and my family. I'll do anything." She leaned back, allowing the wind to force her off of the sea stack, as if in slow motion.

Astrid closed her eyes for a brief moment. When they reopened, they weren't black, but that same ocean blue that Oakley had grown to love.

"OAK!" She shrieked darting to reach her girlfriend's hand before gravity forced her into the ocean below. She grasped the brunette's wrist and pulled with all her might. The heavy rainfall making it difficult to hold on. She started sliding through the mud as gravity seemed to be against her. "Stormfly!" She called to her dragon who aided her in helping Oakley back up onto the sea stack.

"See... That's who you are." Oakley smiled, gasping for air as her heart struggled to keep up with the adrenaline. Astrid pulled the young teen into her lap and sobbed hysterically. "We need to get to your mom." Astrid's eyes opened wide in realization before she jumped off the ground and raced to her dragon.

The girls raced to the great hall to find Heather and Lotus at the back of the hall. Heather flinched as Astrid burst into the room.

"It's okay!" Oakley reassured. "She's Astrid." The blonde raced to her mother's side.

"Mom!" She cried, gripping her mother's hand. "I'm so sorry!"

"Ast-" Her mother was cut off by a fit of coughs.

"Astrid, I know you're scared but I need you to focus. Gothi can't get here to help her until the storm ends. You're the only one who can stop it." Oakley explained.

The blonde shook her head emphatically. "I can't." She sobbed. This was a new sight for Heather. Astrid never cried.

"Hey." Oakley frowned. "You're Astrid. You can do anything." She assured. "Just focus."

Astrid nodded hesitantly and closed her eyes, lowering her head in an attempt to concentrate.

"Okay, I know it's hard but you need to think of a really powerful good memory to counteract the bad one. The happiest memory you can think of." The brunette advised. "Like we practiced."

A few seconds passed before a low rumble echoed from below. The earth began to shake.

"Vacation Island," Oakley whispered to herself, realizing that must be what Astrid was thinking about. "Okay, maybe happiest memory was the wrong choice of words."

"Uh, Astrid..." Heather said. StarGazer, Stormfly, Windshear, and Canyon all huddle around the women to protect them from stray pieces of rock falling from the ceiling above them.

Oakley and Heather shared a knowing glance. "When the ground shifts..." Oakley started.

"...And the heaven's bleed." Heather finished remembering Shiva's words.

'When the ground shift's, and the Heaven's bleed, two worlds will become one. On this day, only the purest soul shall right what has been wronged.'

Astrid let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. "I can't." She sighed. Her mother's breath was becoming slow and raspy before coming to a stop.

"You're holding back." Oakley noticed, wrapping her arms around the shivering blonde.

"How do I make this right? How do I fix this?" She sobbed into her girlfriend's embrace.

Oakley thought hard for a moment. "On this day only the purest soul can right what has been wronged." She whispered to herself.

"Where are we supposed to find someone with a pure human soul?" Heather wondered.

"She didn't say human," Oakley noted, shooting Heather a glance. Oakley knew what she had to do. "Astrid, we can't help you. You need to figure this one out yourself. Only you can fix this." She fibbed, pulling out of Astrid's embrace.

"How?! All I do is hurt, people. It's all I've ever done." She sniffled.

"Now let me hear that from Astrid," Oakley demanded.

"I hu-" She paused. "You." She realized. "You hurt people." She thought for a moment. "That's why you're so scared of your powers. You hurt people. People you love. That's why you got locked up."

Oakley nodded, letting a lone tear slip down her cheek. Astrid threw her arms around the brunette and both girls let out a gentle sob.

"I'm so sorry. I understand now."

Suddenly multiple glowing orbs emerged from the blonde.

"Umm, guys. I hate to ruin a beautiful thing but..." Heather gestured to the lights hovering above them as a warning. The storm outside came to a halt as did the quaking of the earth. The lights slowly made their way back to their rightful owner, covering her in a glowing aura.
