CHAPTER 6: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

Charlie: Ace baby, did you miss me?

Ace: Baby? Miss you? Are you fucking insane?

Charlie: Are you still bitter?

Ace: Oh bitter is not the word I would use, now if you'll excuse me I've got better things to do with my time.

Charlie: Did someone find better?

Ace: who I spend with my time is none of your concern.

I pushed past him and walked out into an alley. Which I knew was a bad idea as soon as I did it, but he followed me so I couldn't turn back.

Damn it!

Charlie: Why are you being this way? It was a one time thing

Ace: Cheating is a one time thing, so was me breaking up with you. It's been a year and a half this is just desperate

Charlie: Look I forgive you

Ace: FOR WHAT!

Charlie: You wouldn't give it up so I had to go to someone else

Ace: So because I'm not a hoe, you cheated?

I heard the door open. Charlie pushed me against a wall.

Ace: Get off of me, you two timing jerkwad.

I kept hitting his chest, trying to push him off of me

Man: Is everything okay?

Charlie: Everything is fine, my girl just had a little too much to drink

Man: You sure about that? Ma'am are you okay?

Charlie: Didn't I just tell you she's fine?

Man: I wasn't talking to you

Ace: Please help me

Next thing I know Charlie is on the ground

Max: Are you okay?

He saved me

Ace:I'm fine thank you

Max: let's get out of here

Ace: Yeah

I don't know why I didn't realize it was him, but if I didn't recognize him no one else would. I ran inside and got my stuff. The girls had already left for the after party. I sent Ceci a text letting her know what happened and where I was going to be. Max walked me to his car and opened the passenger door. I got in.

Ace: where are we going?

Max: My house, I don't want to leave you here

Why is he so perfect?

We were silent, I pulled my knees to my chest and buried my head in them. We got to his house and he opened my door and walked me inside

Max: Why didn't you tell me?

Ace: tell you what?

Max: your boyfriend cheated on you

Ace: ex boyfriend, and how long were you listening?

Max: I walked back stage looking for you to tell you I liked your song. I saw you walk out the door.

Ace: Max it was very sweet of you to come and see my and my band. And thank you for helping me. But I'm not some damsel in distress that needs to be saved.

Max: I didn't say you were

Ace: That's not the point

Max: So what is
