Max: Lovebug, please
Ace: I can't I told you
Max: Come on it's you've got to try this cake it's sooo good.
Ace: If I eat anything else I'm going to explode.
Tonight is our six month anniversary. Max made dinner and baked a cake. He made it so special. We spent the entire day together. I still had homework to do so in my quiet time he prepared this whole thing.
Ace: Thank you, for all of this. I will eat cake tomorrow I promise. But right now I want to cuddle and pass this food baby.
He picked me up and we sat on the couch and watched a movie.
Ace: Have you heard anything about the teacher competition?
Max: Yeah, I think it's some scavenger hunt
Ace: What do you mean?
Max: We all start in the union and go around the campus trying to figure out clues and the first team to figure it all out gets some sort of award.
Ace: We can so win
Max: I know, but I don't want to get too cocky.
Ace: Yeah that makes sense. Do you know what the prize is?
Max: No,I think it's supposed to be a surprise.
He kissed my forehead
Ace: I can't stay
Max: It's my night though
Ace: I know, but I've got a semester exams in the morning.
Max: Lovebug
Ace: Don't make me feel worse than I already do.
Max: Would it make you stay?
Ace: If I fail, I'm blaming you
Max: I'm okay with that
He picked me up and we went to my room.
Ace: Why aren't we in your room?
Max: Just felt like changing things up.
Ace: Are you okay?
Max: I'm great
Ace: Max what's wrong?
Max: Nothing
Ace: You're lying
Max: I'm not
Ace: After all this time I thought you trusted me.
Max: I do, Lovebug...
Ace: I should go
I started grabbing my things
Max: Ace, don't walk away from me
He went to grab my arm, not in an aggressive way. But I flinched so hard it felt like my body shook.
Max: What was that?
Ace: Don't change to the subject. You're hiding things from me
Max: So are you
Ace: I'm gonna go before I say or do something I can't take back.
I started walking towards the door.
Max: Sit down
I didn't stop moving, I made it down the hall.
Max: Ace I swear if you walk out that door
Ace: You'll what, hit me, break up with me, what are you gonna do that's any different from what Charlie did to me?
