Two months passed and the student teacher competition was today. Max and I had been training but considering it was a scavenger hunt there wasn't much training we could do.
Dean: Good Afternoon students and teachers. Today is our student teacher competition. The councillors and I have scattered five clues for each team. You will be assigned a color. If you are seen tampering with another team's clues you will be disqualified. There are cameras we are watching. You have two hints.
The councillors started handing each group their first clue. Max was standing behind me looking over my shoulder.
Clue #1: The clock strikes twelve, students align. Go to the place a student has lunch time
Max: Where do students eat?
Ace: The Cafe, come on
I started running and he chased me. We got to the Cafe and looked for the clues. We were assigned the color blue. We found out next clue
Clue #2: Our lucky charm to win our games, is where your next clue reigns
Ace: School myth states we slap the golden ghost before every game.
Max: to the golden ghost
Ace: it's in the center of the school.
We ran to the center of the school and found our next clue.
Clue #3: The smell of espresso fills the air, your clue with lie there
Max: coffee shop
Ace: Let's go
I saw mauve
Mauve: Howdy
Ace: you got something for me?
She handed me a clue
Ace: You're the best
Clue #4: Stars and Stripes will lead the way
Ace: You know these clues are kinda on the nose
We ran to the flag pole and the clue was at the top.
Max: How do we get it down?
Ace: It's attached to the flag, but lowering a flag is disrespectful. So we climb the pole.
Max: Ms.Phillips
Ace: I know, I don't do well with things taller than me.
Max: Let's just lower the flag and put it back
Ace: fine, only because the other teams are catching up
Max undid the rope and pulled down the flag. I grabbed the clue and he put the flag back.
Clue #5: Sleepy Hollow holds your last clue. Get it and you'll have a dinner for two.
Ace: The legend of Sleepy Hollow, the library.
We ran to the library and I looked for the book.
Max: Hurry
Ace: I'm going
I closed out of the tab and started running up the stairs. I tried to think of where the book would be. The library was such a maze. I took a left then a right and climbed the ladder. I found the book and handed it to Max.
Paper : Return to the place where it all began and receive your prize then you've reached the end.
Max: back to Hamilton
We ran back to Hamilton but there was no one there
Max:I don't understand
He handed me the clue
