I walked out of his room and into the guest bedroom. I got undressed and put on his shirt. It smelled like him. I tried falling asleep but it took some time. When I did finally fall asleep it didn't last long. I panicked. I wasn't sure if it was because I was sleeping in a new place. Or because of Charlie. But I wasn't okay, that much I knew for sure. The next thing I knew Max was shaking me slightly.
Max: Hey
I pulled the blanket close to me
Max: Lovebug are you okay?
Ace: I'm fine
Max: Ace
Ace: Bubba I'm fine
Max: Ace you were screaming, are you sure you're okay?
Ace: Max you make it seem like you've never had a nightmare.
Max: talk to me
Ace: It's nothing I swear
I looked at the clock on the nightstand and realized it was five in the morning.
Ace: I'm okay and even if I wasn't, I don't have the time not to be.
I got out of the bed and started putting my pants on.
Max: Lovebug talk to me
Ace: There's nothing to talk about, I've got to get going
Max: Where it's Saturday?
Ace: Bubba, I have homework to do, and my mom is coming to visit
Max: Your mom is coming to campus?
Ace: yeah, she's been dying to visit.
Max: could I meet her?
Ace: Max, I would love that, but we both know that you can't
Max: Not as your boyfriend
Boyfriend, He didn't even ask me
Ace: My what?
Max: Your boyfriend?
Ace: Max
Max: I'm sorry, was that too forward?
Ace: Yes... No. Max you didn't ask me. And we talked about labels.
Max: I know, I just thought
Ace: I know, we're going to get there I swear. Just not yet.
Max: When
Ace: As soon as you ask, but that can't be right now. I have to go
I kissed his cheek and started to pick up my things
Ace: If it makes you feel any better my mom wants to me my teachers. So you can meet her as my professor on Monday as long as you don't get us in trouble.
Max: I'll try my very best Lovebug
Ace:Thank you, now I've gotta go
I walked to his garage and got in my car , he checked to see if anyone was outside and then I went back to the dorms. By the time I got back to the doors Ceci was awake.
Ace: Hey Ceci
Ceci: hey
She looked at me and turned back around. Then proceeded to do a double take.
Ceci: Hey
Ace: hey?
Ceci: that shirt isn't yours
Ace: So what if it isn't?
Ceci: that means you were with HIM all night
Ace: And what if I was?
