Autumn-

I made it into town by the time the moon had hit its highest point in the sky, the moon was my only light to see and I had no money to live off.

I was sweaty, hungry, and thirsty.

I sat down at a park bench and lay down, my pack became my pillow.

I looked up at the stars and the moon disappearing behind clouds now and then.

It was beautiful, but I hadn't eaten since lunch and I was really regretting not taking the whole cupboard with me.

I was in too much of a rush to get out of there.

No matter how much i hate saying this but, Ryder was right, I was and would always be alone.

"You're always alone in this world Autumn, you're always alone, and you always will be alone, but it's ok, because you only need you to survive." i whispered to myself.

Even when I'm not, I am. It's like a fate I can't escape, It angers me to know I will never find the family I always wanted.

"Stealing my bench are we?" A familiar voice asked.

I sat up and squinted to see a face to the voice.

"Chloe?" I asked not entirely sure.

"Hey Autumn." she sat down beside me confirming my doubts.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

I managed to make out a smile through the darkness, " why are you?"

"I'm homeless." I came right out and said it. No point sugar coating it.

She laughed, "welcome to the club."

My eyes widened with surprise.

"You're homeless?"

"Why are you so surprised?" she asked confused.

Was this some sick joke? "I just, you just never mentioned anything."

"Well I'm hardly going to tell a stranger my whole life story am i?" she smirked.

I shook my head, I wasn't sure if I should be grateful or suspicious.

Whatever I was, I was full of questions.

"Where are your parents?" I asked her.

She cleared her throat like she was about to present a speech, "dad died mother cried which led her to suicide." she sang in a rhymey tone.

I raised my eyebrows in shock and disgusted. she made a song about it?

"Don't judge me." she sneered.

I raised my hands in surrender, "Ok."

"I've repeated the same long story so many times i made a short cut, beside I do have a family, want to meet them?" she asked.

I wasn't sure what to say.

If I said yes she might lead me to a dark alleyway where I could get raped or murdered or both! If I said no, I might starve to death on this bench.

Either way I end up dying.

Might as well take my chances right?

I shrugged, "ok."

Soon a giant grin took over her face and she skipped away in some direction, I slowly followed behind.

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, she seems crazy.
