Autumn-
....18 years later...
It was a surprise to me when i received an invitation to The Aventador Orphanage reunion.
But with the surprise news i didn't hesitate to pack up my bags and drive there immediately.
However Kylie was less excited about the thought of packing up all of a sudden and heading to some random town population zero. She reminded me of me like that.
"Why didn't you just leave me at home, you know I'm old enough to take care of myself right?" She raised her eyebrows at me sassily.
I rolled my eyes and kept driving.
"Side door bottom pocket." i stated casually.
She frowned at me weirdly but searched there anyway, she pulled out eight photos.
"What are these?" she asked i smiled at the genuine curiosity in her voice.
The first photo she was staring at was of all us girls on Prom night looking posh and excited.
"Is that Halia!" she gasped at the tiny German Shepard in my arms.
Halia died seven years ago, Kylie was confused as to why i was so sad.
I nodded.
"Who are all these girls?!" she asked.
"They're my closet friends... my family." i stated "Sam, the little one at the front, she'll be twenty three now. I sighed at the thought, "wow." i muttered to myself.
"What about the brunette next to you?" she asked.
"Tori... She's my best friend." my voice shaky.
Kylie looked at me with a saddened look across her face.
I saw her shuffle through the photos until she landed on the group photo with all the boys carrying us girls bridal style in a huge group photo.
"Who's the guy you're with?" she asked as she landed on the couples photo of Ryder, Halia and I.
I had to stop the car to look at the photo of Ryder and I.
We looked so happy, in love...
A tear slid down my cheek and Kylie had to take over driving.
"Mom..." she asked as the car started moving again.
I couldn't answer her call as i hugged the photo to my chest.
****
We arrived at the Orphanage, it hadn't changed a bit.
In eighteen years the same tired white painted wooden two story house still stood strong.
"I'll stay here." Kylie stated but i barely heard her because the moment the car stopped moving i ran to Tori who was waiting for me.
"Eighteen years!" She squealed just as i remembered.
"Wheres Dylan?!" i ordered.
"He's inside, follow!" Tori led me inside, it was just as i remembered.
"It hasn't changed a bit!" i cooed.
"We try hard to keep it the same, however we do have to upgrade a few things from time to time." She admitted.
I spotted Dylan in the kitchen cooking something that smelled delicious, nothing unusual.
"Babe, turn around!" Tori ordered.
