Autumn-
For a second I forgot where I was and I totally flipped out. But then everything flooded back, the questions in the tree, Mason's tattoo, the fight with Ryder, Masons last question, the phone call from Dylan, Dinner in the park, running from Dylan, the bucket of questions Mason's parents gave him, then absolutely dying on his bed.
I sat up and took in my surroundings, I found Mason studying on his desk.
He glanced in my direction, "good sleep?"
"Wonderful."
"I'm not surprised its almost lunch time."
My eyes widened, what!
"I skipped out on school?"
He laughed, "pretty much."
I smiled proudly, I love my sleeping skills.
"Mom and dad agreed that I could have the day off when you woke up, so what do you want to do?" he asked turning off his computer and turning around on his spiny chair to face me.
"Lunch?" I suggested.
He nodded in agreement and we headed downstairs.
"Just in time." his mother chirped in front of the oven, "I've made scones!" she cheered as she took the tray out of the oven and showed us.
"Thanks mom." Mason took a scone from the tray and I followed along giving my thanks to her before following Mason to the table.
"So how long do you plan on staying with us Autumn? I'm sure your family will be worried about you."
"I wouldn't bet on that." I muttered.
She raised her eyebrows at me and gestured to a door where Rose, Le, Liam and Ethan appeared.
My eyes widened at the sight of their being here.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"When you didn't show up last night Dylan went spastic going on about how you're gonna get yourself into trouble and its going to be all his fault." Rose explained.
"He even cried at one point." Liam cut in with an excitable grin.
I shook my head at him but couldn't contain my giggle.
"Anyway, he had us miss school and go from door to door looking for you saying you would be with a guy called Mason." Le said.
"Yeah, so are you going to come home because Tori's been the unlucky one to try and calm him down all morning." Ethan said.
I shook my head uncertain of what to do, "If I go back he's just going to start yelling at me again."
They shrugged, "and, its our going way party tomorrow." Rose added.
I frowned,"What?"
"At the Fourth of July party, before you fainted, Rose and I got approached by a couple who have been looking for children to adopt, Rose said she'd only go with them if they took all four of us, I said the same and so we found Liam and Ethan and told them what's up, they both agreed that they'd have to take all four of us, they agreed that would be fine and Dylan interviewed them thoroughly, he agreed they were suitable and fit to be parents and signed the papers so now we're going to be taken away from this shit hole of a town on Wednesday." Liam explained.
"That's amazing guys!" I got down from the table and gave them a huge bear hug.
"I'm so happy for you guys, the place is going to be empty without you though."
