Chapter Forty-One

Autumn-

I loved the smell of pancakes in the morning.

"Check it." Andy said chucking the pancake in the air with the pan making it do three flips before landing it on his face and using only his tongue to eat it.

I shook my head as Shadow cracked up laughing.

I smiled at the two.

"I cant believe I'm related to you." i announced.

"Shadow liked it."

"You're thirty three, thats just sad."

"My dear sister, thats just a number." He grinned

"Obviously."

He laughed as did Shadow.

"Someones sassy this morning." Shadow stated.

I smiled at her.

"Im not a morning person." i agreed.

"Obviously." Andy mocked me in a pathetic attempt at my voice.

I grimaced in mock pain, "that was awful!" i laughed.

"Got you laughing though, didn't I." he grinned in victory.

I tried to hold back my grin but gave up once i realized it was pointless.

I took a seat at the wooden table as Shadow set out plates and cutlery.

"Hey, guess we're finally officially Family." I smiled whole heartedly.

She nodded, "Took long enough."

Tell me about it. Andy bet me too it.

"So what took you so long to get back last night?" I asked as Andy put the pancakes on the table and we all sat down.

"Wyatt pressed charges against Mason for assault."

My mouth dropped open.

"You're kidding."

Andy shook his head.

"Shit." i whispered under my breath.

"Is he ok?"

"Just a couple hundred out of his pocket, So I'm confused, last time i saw you, you were with Ryder, then i see you kissing Mason, and some other random guy I've never seen before is going around trying to 'protect' you. Please fill me in." he stated.

"Well... Ryder broke up with me when he saw his ex and claimed that he still loved her and was scared he'd end up cheating on me or something, so i tried to get him jealous by hooking up with Wyatt in front of him which only really made things worse, because now Wyatt is going around saying he loves me and all that shit, so i drive five hours away just to go to some amusement park to clear my head, and get this, Mason shows up, so of course our reunion was... eventful... So then Mason drives me back and says he'll pick me up again the next day, so he did and we ended up going to the concert and you know what happened next..." I explained.

Andy and Shadow were both staring at me with the same look.

"What?" I shrugged.

"Break up with him." Andy stated in monotone.

"What!" i practically screamed.

"April, your life is way to complicated right now for a relationship, and where has school fitted into this?!"

I was shocked at his order and looked to Shadow for help.

She gave me a pained look that showed she agreed with Andy.
