F/N's perspective
F/N: "Peace, inner peace. Let yourself drift into tranquility...
Tatsumi: "Come on! Stop going easy on me!"
Akame: "I am because you aren't ready."
F/N: ".....There is no light without the dark, Though passion I gain fo-
Tatsumi: "Damnit!"
Letting out a very irritated sigh, I open my eyes to see Tatsumi on his ass, Akame standing over him with a training sword at his chest. At the moment, I was trying to focus and meditate, but Tatsumi's constant comments were making that....... difficult.
F/N: "Well, maybe if you stopped yelling every five seconds, you'd block her strikes?"
Tatsumi: "Say's the man is taking a nap on the porch!"
He said, noting my current meditative position. It had been a few days since the boss had put me on bed rest. Today, however, she finally gave me the green light to resume training. Though the others were doing various physical exercises, I was attempting to do some mental training.
F/N: "Meditating, there's a difference."
I commented in a snarky tone as the brown-haired boy scoffs.
Tatsumi: "Sounds still like you're sitting on your butt doing nothing."
Akame: "Tatsumi."
The veteran assassin spoke as she looked at the arrogant young lad.
Tatsumi: "What? Aren't I right?"
Akame: "No, what F/N is doing is just as taxing as when we spar. To gain a true mastery of meditation increases one's perception of the world around them. Allowing one a greater chance of exploiting a target's weakness."
F/N: "Plus, I think it may tie to my abilities, so don't complain to the boss about this."
I said with a slight smirk as I closed my eyes once again. Tatsumi just let out a grumble as he and Akame resume their sparring match. This time, only the sounds of the wood clashing came from them.
Now trying again, I started to slow my breathing and picked up where I left off.
F/N: "Focus, Through Knowledge, I gain power, through serenity, I gain strength."
I spoke under my breath as my mind became more transparent. I could faintly sense my two friends' movements in front of me, the sound of water running off the nearby pond, and the light pattern of footsteps on the wooden planks behind me.
F/N: "Through victory, I gain harmony."
I say, and as I left a hand moving out to 'attack' me, I snapped my arms back. My left hand grabbed ahold of my attacker's wrist and pulled it forward. My left freshly healed hand pushed up under their armpit. What resulted was my attacker being launched over my shoulder and into the dirt in front of me.
F/N: "There is only the Force."
I said with a slight chuckle, rising from my spot and opened my eyes to see a dazed Lubbock laying there. The other two had stopped sparing as Tatsumi chuckled with me at the green-haired boy's position. Akame was only giving me a slight nod of approval at my show of skill.
Lubbock: "OW! Dude, what the hell was that!"
F/N: "Natural reflex, thanks for the help, by the way."
I said and helped him to his feet. Lubbock dusting off his coat and glared at me slightly.
Lubbock: "Well, make sure you give me what I asked for doing this."
He said before walking back inside, Tatsumi calming a bit to ask a question.
