F/N's perspective

Pain awaited me as I awoke from the nightmares. My eyes were blurry as I opened them, sunlight shown through the curtains as a figure sat on the bed. With a groan, I tried to sit up, only for the pain to course through my injured arm.

I bit my lip as I tried to push through the pain, only for a gentle hand to press against my chest and make me fall back onto the bed. Blinking a few times, my vision cleared for me enough to see that it was Akame. She was sitting at my bedside, a bundle of bandages held in her free hand as she looked at me.

Akame: "Stay down, you're going to hurt yourself."

Her voice was soft yet firm as she slowly removed her hand from my bare chest. I nodded slightly and moved my gaze over to my arm. Akame had it resting in her lap and was in the process of removing the old bloody bandages when I must have awoken.

Akame: "You may want to look away from it, I don't know-

F/N: "It's ok Akame......I need to see it."

She nodded and resumed removing the bandages. Underneath lay a bunch of hasty stitches that held large portions of my arm's skin together, the discomfort from her removing the bandages telling enough of the damage that the Imperial arm had done.

Gritting my teeth this time from the pain in my arm, I watched as Akame took the bloody bandages off and set them aside. She began to apply the fresh bandages as I spoke.

F/N: "How long.....

I asked tiredly as I looked at Akame. Her expression was stoic as always, but there was the slightest bit of concern in her eyes as she looked back from my arm to meet my gaze:

Akame: "Only a day..... we worried you would be out for longer."

She said before going back to wrapping the wounds. The atmosphere felt heavy as she kept working and I tried to lighten the mood.

F/N: "Well, just means your training kept me alive. It'll take more than that to kill me."

Akame: "But not by much..... you went cold after what you did to Sheele."

She said with concern, her emotions slowly dripping out as she tried the rest of the bandage around my hand.

F/N: ".......how is she?"

Akame: "Stable, she's in a coma. Whatever you did saved her life."

F/N: "Yeah....... I didn't even know I could do that....."

I said trailing off as I went over what had happened the night before, the vision, the healing, and even before that with the blade and fighting that droid....... it couldn't be what I thought it was.....could it? I was starting to go deep within my thoughts before Akame brought me back by tapping my forehead. She had asked something and I missed it.

F/N: "O-oh, sorry. Did you say something?"

Akame: "I did.......is she safe?"

F/N: "Sheele.........for now at least."

Akame: "For now?"

She asked and this time gently helped me up as I remembered part of the nightmares. Her death no longer was among those I saw, but something else had changed, a new nightmare, one that I couldn't remember clearly.

F/N: "Yeah.....I think I've started something that's far out of my knowledge.....but for now, she's safe."

I said running my hand over the bandages. Akame simply nods and gets up.

Akame: "Lunch will be ready soon."

She stated and headed towards the door, only stopping as she looked back at me before she left.
