F/N's perspective

It was the next day when I was leaning against the railing on an Asian-style cruise ship. Tatsumi leaned up next to me on the guard rail, both of us in white suits as we kept eyes on our target. Guards surrounded the stocky man, and it looked like no one could get past them.

Tatsumi: "Man, no one could get past them by the looks of it. You know they probably won't show."

He said with a smirk before getting bonked over the head by an invisible hand. I rolled my eyes with a chuckle and glanced at where our fellow assassin was as Tatsumi rubbed the back of his head.

Tatsumi: "Hey, what was that for?"

Bulat: "Don't be so quick to assume Tatsumi."

F/N: "Yeah, cause it makes an ass out of me and you."

Tatsumi: "Haha, very funny."

He said as Bulat's outline was just visible for us to spot him standing on Tatsumi's left.

Bulat: "We have no idea what our enemies could be planning."

Tatsumi: "Yeah.... guess you're right. I wasn't thinking there."

F/N: "When do you ever think?"I said with a smirk as Tatsumi hit my shoulder.

Tatsumi: "Say's the man that runs headfirst into everything."

F/N: "Yet I always have a plan.... well, most of a plan, but besides that, your armor's pretty handy, bro."

Bulat: "It is. I like to think of it as my partner in a way."

He said and patted his chest a bit. Tatsumi marveled at it for a bit before I struck up a question.

F/N: "Hey bro, I know you were in the Capitals armed forces before joining Night Raid. So what made you leave?"

Bulat: "Ah, so you want to hear about my valiant past, well it is quite the tale. It was after the victory over the Southern tribes when my commanding officer was unjustly accused of crimes. I looked up to him, pleaded that he did not go with the men sent to take him.... but he was so sure that he would be pardoned on false accusations. In the end, however, he was tried guilty. It wasn't long after that some of the higher-ups in the military became petty over my powers, so I used Incursio to slip away."

Tatsumi: "Damn, that must have been tough."

Bulat: "It was, but I guess it worked out in the end."

He said as his armor flicked with a bit of an electrical current.

Bulat: "Ah, it seems that my invisibility is starting to run out. I should probably take it off."

He said and turned to leave before I struck up a point.

F/N: "Hey, you should probably go to the lower decks. Your face is known on the wanted posters. Tatsumi and I can handle the populated areas."

Bulat: "A good plan, Echo, now be vigilant."

He said before completely disappearing again, leaving me alone with Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: "You know, it's still weird calling you that on missions, half the time I slip upon which to use for you."

He said with a cheeky grin. I elbow his shoulder a bit in response as we headed into the cabin.

F/N: "Well, I'd like to keep my actual name off the radar. It makes things easier for moving about."

Tatsumi: "Yeah yeah, whatever you say, ECHO."

He said as we entered the crowded ballroom-like area. Though as we walked around, the sound of a flute playing caught my and Tatsumi's attention.
