F/N's Perspective
It was the dead of night when the Jaegers' arrived at the bandit's fort. The moon hung alone in the sky as an overcast had blocked out most of the surrounding stars. The fort was illuminated by the torches that dotted its walls and presumed structures within. This left the place illuminated against the wilderness.
All except Tatsumi and Esdeath would be participating in this assault. They were positioned upon an outcrop that gave a good line of sight at the coming conflict. However, I turned my gaze from them to the mission at hand. Wave noticing the slight tension placed a hand on my shoulder.
Wave: "Nervous?"
He asked with a small smile. I shrugged and looked at the fort.
F/N: "For fighting bandits? No. For Tatsumi's well-being, yes."
Bols: "I'm sure he'll be ok. He is Esdeath's lover after all."
F/N: "Forced lover, I'm more worried if he denies her advances long enough what she may do."
Bols stayed quiet after that as we began to walk through the wooded area that led to the fortress. The others, having heard our conversation seemed to have their thoughts about their leader, though if they had any, they kept it to themselves. They were especially staying quiet after the first-hand view of the 'sparring' the day earlier, afraid that any of the others would report it to the said leader. Run though fell back a bit to stay with my stride as we ascended a long set of stone carved stairs.
Run: "It's not best to think about your friend's situation. It'll take your mind off the fight."
F/N: "I'm aware."
I said flatly as we kept walking. The gear rustling and boots against the stairs filled our ears from the backdrop of the silent night. Looking down, I adjusted the gifted rapier on my belt. The weapon wasn't anything unique or noteworthy, just a plain steel blade with the Empire's crest embroidered onto the guard. Once I was sure it was in place, my hand moved up and tugged on the sleeve of my jacket. After the meeting earlier, I had spent most of my time repairing the near ruined clothing, now with some underline padding and the hole in the back patched. Though bloodstained still, I hoped it would be ever so slightly intimidating to though I faced.
F/N: (At least some good came out of that sparring.....
I thought before heavy footfalls made all of us stop in our tracks. Men with various weapons blocked our path, emerging from the forest like a ninja, all wearing the same masks that looked like the helmet from dead space. I went to pull my weapon from its sheathe before Seryu stopped me with a hand over the hilt.
Seryu: "Let me handle this. Koro, stage 5."
She said, her bubbly persona replaced by a cold seriousness as her Imperial arm transformed into its massive monster form. The beast bit down upon Seryu's arm before pulling away to reveal a giant drill now took her arms place.
F/N: "What the fuck!?"
I said as she killed the group without much effort, their bodies turning to bloody bits in the face of such a devastating weapon. Her devilish grin almost unnatural as she held her arm back again, Koro repeating the previous process as a high caliber cannon took the place of her arm.
Seryu: "Stage 7! Cannon of Justice!"
She yelled before firing a large caliber shell from the cannon, blowing the front gates of the fort wide open and sending bodies flying. Dr. Stylish began to go on a tangent about all the weapons being of his making and blaw blaw blaw.
Not pay much attention to him as the path was clear, the other Jaegers sprung into action and rushed into the fort, weapons in hand.
F/N: (Guess it's our turn now.)
