F/N's perspective
It's been a couple of days since Night Raid took in Bols, and I was on the road to recovery. Though relations with Chelsea haven't improved, at least she hasn't tried to kill Bols yet behind our backs, despite her open disdain for the man. I mean, at least he and Akame seem to get along as, at the moment, the two had prepared breakfast for us all.
F/N: "Damn, this is pretty good."
I muttered as I drove my fork back into the small pile of scrambled eggs on my plate, the taste of the last bite like nothing I had ever had before. Happily, I shoveled more into my hungry maw, Bols chuckling from over in the kitchen as he assisted Akame in preparing the rest of our meal.
Bols: "Well, it's the way my daughter always likes them, some I'm glad they are to your liking."
Swallowing, I gave the big guy a thumbs up as I returned to my meal. Bulat, Leone, and Tatsumi watched as I kept eating.
Bulat: "You know you're going to choke if you keep going like that?"
F/N: "Akupationol Hazzard."
I said, my face stuffed with more eggs and bacon before getting washed down with some OJ. Bulat just rolled his eyes and continued to eat his meal as Leone propped up her elbow, resting her head in her hand as she watched me.
Leone: "You know, you look a lot like Akame right now. No manners when you're hungry."
She said, a shit-eating grin on her face as the aforementioned assassin glanced over her shoulder, her gaze her standard lack of emotions.
Akame: "I can still hear you."
Leone: "I'm aware."
She said as her gaze turned back to me as I wiped my mouth clean and cleared my throat.
F/N: "Well, the more I eat, the more I'm able to heal myself and get back into fighting shape. Plus, it still hurts like shit sometimes."
I said, placing a hand on my stomach, the fabric of my shirt doing little to deviate the rougher bandages that lay wrapped around my torso, like what you would find on an Egyptian mummy from legend, though as I was going to take another bite. I stopped as a voice spoke from the doorway.
Chelsea: "Though last I checked, trying that on yourself almost killed you last time."
Her stern tone spoke over the now nearly quiet dining room as everyone stopped what they were doing to look at the new arrival.
Tatsumi: "Hey Chelsea... come to join us?"
He asked as I looked over, a hopeful look in his eyes before they grew saddened from her response.
Chelsea: "No, I'm grabbing my breakfast and leaving."
She said, tone staying the same as she walked in and past us all, though I caught her giving Bols a look beyond anything the known words for anger could describe. Though despite this, Bols still put on a kind smile.
Bols: "Well, there's plenty of food here, you can take what you-
He said before Chelsea promptly cut him off, venom soaked in her words.
Chelsea: "I'll pass, murderer."
She said, Bols flinching as Chelsea turned her gaze to the cabinets and retrieved a small beg of dried jerky and fruit. She then turned on her heel and left, speaking not a word to the others as she exited, nearly bumping into Najenda as the boss watched her go.
Najenda: "Morning."
She said as she took a seat and gathered herself some food from the plates scattered across the center of the table. Though, I found something odd that someone was missing from her side.
