Part 2

"So what's up dep la?" asked Raya.

"I just cannot hide it from you anymore Raya. Since everything that happened between us in the past...me hurting you so much and finding it so easy to forgive me when I made it so hard for you to trust me...I'm just bothered...And can't even sleep..."

Even though Namaari felt bothered by that, she didn't make mention of her new feelings

Raya had a look of sadness on her face and said, "Namaari... yes you messed up. But that was in the past. I forgive you, everyone has forgiven you for everything that's happened. On the bright side, if it wasn't for your trust and courage, we wouldn't have been Kumandra and we'd still be divided. It may not have been right but it is why we are now one people."

Namaari smiled at Raya with tears in her eyes. Raya gently wiped her tears and said, "Cheer up dep la."

Namaari's smile grew bigger as she cleared away Raya's hair from her face and caressed her cheek. 

"That's not all I have to tell you." Whispered Namaari.

"I have something to tell you too..." whispered Raya as she blushed.

"You go first dep la." Said Namaari

Raya blushed as she broke eye contact with Namaari. "I just um...think you're really beautiful, amazing...and I...I really um-"

The words couldn't escape Raya's mouth as she felt like her cheeks were about to explode, her hands trembling and her sweating. There was about 2 minutes of silence between them. Namaari held both of Raya's hands and said, "Maybe both of us have the same thing on our minds. I have to meet back with my mom shortly dep la. She requested my presence at supper. So I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay, I'll miss you."

Namaari embraced her and said, "Tomorrow I can sleep over. I'll miss you too." The space between their bodies closed as Namaari held her tighter. Raya smiled at her as she exited the room. Namaari closed the door and as she turned to walk towards the exit, Chief Benja was approaching. 

"Hello chief." Said Namaari as she bowed to Benja.

"Hello Namaari. How's Raya? She missed dinner and was really sad earlier."

"She's feeling better. I helped cheer her up a lil.

"Maybe her appetite has returned if she's in better spirits. I'll go check on her. Going back home now?"

"Yes sir."

"Okay be careful dear."

Namaari smiled as she made her exit.
