All Raya could do in that moment was cry. Namaari doesn't believe her and got mad at her, her Ba found out her secrets which he was disappointed in and she felt as though everything was just going so backwards. Even being disappointed in his daughter, Chief Benja knelt beside her and said, "We'll talk about this when we arrive back home dew drop. I won't let you feel like you cannot talk to me about certain things. Now, let's go to Chief Virana's palace."
"I don't w-wanna go back Ba..."
"Why not?"
"Namaari...she doesn't believe me...and...I...I just don't wanna go." said Raya
"Dew drop, there is something that you got to understand about the truth to any situation. No matter how much it is denied, it remains. If what you've suggested is true, Namaari not believing you cannot change the fact of the situation. And abandoning it will only make the situation worse." Explained the chief.
"You're right Ba." Replied Raya. She was wiping the last of tears pouring from her eyes. Her father gave her some water and said, "Ready?"
Raya nodded to agree and they left for the palace. When they arrived, Raya realized that she left Tuk Tuk behind and she ran to him and said, "Buddy! I'm so sorry."
She gave him a hug and he grunted happily. When Chief Benja and his warriors arrived, the Fang warriors bowed and allowed them into the palace. Namaari was sitting outside on a chair, worried. She was also upset at herself that she hurt Raya's feelings. As she struggled to fight back the tears, she overheard a conversation inside the palace.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Are you sure about this?"
"Absolutely. Look, the chief didn't die and everyone is on the lookout. They will look past you, Laari."
"But even if we try again and it succeeds, what about Namaari?"
"We'll head for her next. But we have to be careful. And automatically we will be the new Fang chiefs."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Namaari gasped in shock at what she heard and instantly heard back Raya's broken voice in her head saying, "Remember that trust was once our weakness"
Is the world really going back to how it was? Namaari got furious but knew she should proceed with caution. She suspected that whoever was talking with Laari was the only other person involved but her trust for the other servants has weakened. She quietly got up and entered the palace and bumped into Laari.
"Hello my darling! You seem in a bad mood honey...Is everything okay?" asked Laari.
"How can one such charming creature I've always known be like a demon clothed as an angel?" Namaari thought.
"I'm well thanks" replied Namaari with a fake smile. She walked past them and when she saw Raya and her Ba, she gasped. She longed to hug Raya but couldn't. She wanted to apologize for not believing her. But she couldn't possibly be so vulnerable with all those warriors and servants around. She was too scared. When she realized that no one saw her, she went up to her bedroom and closed the door.
Virana was talking with Benja and said, "I am so happy that you have come chief. And thank you for caring so much to come all this way. It means a lot."
"That's great. This is what we do, we take care of one another and help each other in a time of need." replied Benja.
Raya was looking around for Namaari and said to a servant, "Um...excuse me, where is princess Namaari?"
"She was around the back of the palace but I'm not sure if she's still there. You are at liberty to walk this palace in its entirety, Raya." assured the servant.
"Thank you."
Raya walked around looking for Namaari. After checking the training grounds and the garden, she decided to check her bedroom. She gently knocked on her door and said, "Namaari?"
"Who is it." Asked Namaari in an aggravated tone.
"Raya..."
Her face lightened as she went to open the door. That was the moment she trusted herself to be vulnerable. She embraced Raya then said, "Dep la, I'm so sorry about how I acted earlier...I was being so defensive of who I thought would never do such a thing. I owe you...And not only that but you saved my life."
"What how?!" asked Raya and she pulled away and stared at Namaari in shock
"You were right... Laari and someone else plotted to kill my mother...And me." Namaari started tearing up as she spoke. "I-I was around the back of the palace...and I overheard them...saying how they'd try again to poison mother...then go for me next. Because they want our roles as leaders of Fang. The most heartbreaking moment was when the other person said that Laari is best to use because...everyone trusts her... And I remember what our world was... A world of Druun...A world of sadness...And-"
She couldn't keep talking and broke down in tears. Raya embraced her and wiped away her tears. "Dep la, we'll get through this. And I promise you, that not you nor your mother will be hurt. As long as my heart is beating, you're safe."
Raya started to take on the role of dominance.
"There's something else I need to tell you dep la..." Said Raya in a sad tone
