Part 27

Virana got up to approach them but was distracted by one of the servants from Heart. Raya was being flirty with Namaari as she said, "I saw what you did earlier dep la."

"What was that?" asked Namaari while smirking.

"Your sexy gesture. My mind was on fire."

"Expected from you dep la. It's a distractor. When you're in battle, try and block out all emotions and stay focused on your goals. I went really soft on you." explained Namaari.

"You went soft on me?" asked Raya in shock

"Yes dep la. I've been in 50% more intense fights than this. You think these muscles are decoration?"

She muscled up and Raya almost shrieked. Namaari laughed, feeling pleased with herself. She knew Raya's weak point and can easily use it against her.

"Also dep la...I know I was a bit aggressive. Anywhere hurting?" asked Namaari as her face got serious.

"Eh...it's no biggie."

"Of course it is...before bed I'll give you a massage....we might go a little further than just a massage." 

Raya blushed and in the distance, Virana was observing their flirtatious behavior. After a few minutes, everyone took their seat and got quiet as dinner was about to be served. Before dinner was served, Benja stood and said, "A pleasant evening to every one of you. I am especially delighted to have residents from Fang here that have come to support their leader, princess Namaari, who was successful in her challenge against princess Raya, who also did great." 

Everyone's eyes were in the direction of the two princesses that sat next to each other. They then applauded and both girls bowed in appreciation.

"I am very happy to see such a beautiful bright rainbow of rulers that will be the future of Kumandra. They make such a great team and I am sure our younger citizens look up to these two warriors and aspire to be just like them. It's these two, along with our other allies that have bought back Kumandra and saved us all from destruction and so today we celebrate them both."

After Chief Benja spoke, everyone applauded a final time and appetizers were served. They all parted into their separate conversations. Chief Virana tried to keep an eye at them the whole time and after glancing in her direction a few times, Raya noticed that something was off. She got less flirty and a bit uncomfortable. Namaari realized her behavior and said, "So...you okay? You look so uncomfortable."

"I'm alrighty."

"Stop lying princess...I know you too well."

"Yeah right. You'll know soon." said Raya as she faked a laugh but made it seem genuine. Raya saw Layla and called her. 

"Hello dear, how may I help you?" said Layla as she smiled at Raya. Raya turned her back to Virana's direction and said, "Please....don't look at chief Virana... So um...I think she's on to Namaari and I. I had eye contact with her a few times. Find a way to tell Namaari...We're not close enough for me to tell her without being noticed. Also...are there mangosteens?"

Layla didn't make it obvious that she felt tense and played along with Raya's last question. "Yeah I think we do. If there aren't any, would you like salaks?"

"Yess I love the sensation. Do you Namaari?"

Namaari raised an eyebrow as she felt awkward but she said, "I'm not a huge fan of them but lychees are everything."

"Ouu yes I absolutely adore them" said Raya as she went in a state of awe.

"I have to get back to duties now...Namaari, I'll be in the prep area...come shortly."

"Okay" said Namaari.

While the main course was being served, Namaari left and went to Layla. Fortunately, Virana didn't see when she left because she was engaged in a conversation with chief Benja.

"Alright so what's up?" asked Namaari as she approached Layla.

"Raya said that your mother is suspicious that something's up so keep it casual and not so flirty. She said she had eye contact with her a few times."

Namaari bit her lips and said, "O...kay..."

Her heart palpitated as she went back to the table. 

For the rest of dinner, they didn't talk a whole lot more and had normal casual conversations. 

Afterwards, Chief Benja approached the girls with Virana.

"So are we ready?" he asked.

"Yup." said Raya. She slightly trembled as she got up, from being so nervous.

Fortunately, Sisu and Pranee entered and said, "Chiefs, all is ready."

"Splendid." said Virana.

"We'll be there shortly mother." said Namaari

She pulled Raya to a room no one was in and closed the door. She embraced Raya and got emotional as she said, "Dep la...Now is the time...I know you're nervous...I am too...but no matter what, I'll always be yours. And I'll never leave your side. I promise" 

They both stared each other in the eyes then Namaari pulled Raya closer and she kissed her lips gently for a few seconds. "I love you" whispered Namaari after they kissed.

"I love you more dep la." Said Raya.

"Alrighty let's go." said Namaari. 

They got out the room and went to the garden where both chiefs were at.

Raya smiled at her Ba as she sat around a table Sisu and Pranee set.

"Alright...so where do we begin girls?"

Namaari gripped Raya's hand under the table as she sighed and said, "So um...Mother..."
