Namaari was the first and she sat with her hand at her jaw and a worried look on her face. One of the servants said, "You're extra early today princess. Is everything okay?"
Namaari didn't reply. She just stared at her with a look that screamed, "LEAVE ME ALONE!"
The servant was a lil creeped and just kept preparing the rest of the table. After a while, the general and chief Virana entered and Virana said, "You're quite early today morning mist."
"Yeah." said Namaari as she sighed. It was unbelieving for the servants to see such a vulnerable side of the princess. One who is so strong, brave, commanding and loyal to her kingdom...now like a baby in their sight. She started rubbing her hand through her hair, seeming hurt and stressed and said, "Mother...may I be excused from dinner..."
"What's wrong darling." Whispered Virana.
"I just need space mother."
"Princess, my darling. You should have the courage to fight back emotions. Even being Kumandra again doesn't make you any less of a Fang warrior princess...my princess. We will talk after eating and you exhausted yourself earlier. You definitely need dinner, mist" said Virana.
"Okay mother." Said Namaari in a very aggressive tone, trying to block out her fears.
Dinner was served but Namaari didn't eat much. Her mind was so fixed on Raya. She occasionally found herself slightly blushing. She was so scared of her secret being cracked because her mother wouldn't approve of her being in love with---another female. After having a very light and torturing dinner, she got up and said, "I'll be in my room mother."
She fought back the emotions as she walked to her room but as soon as she did, she just let it all...but not vulnerable enough to let any passerby hear her in tears.
Virana went to her room not long after. When Namaari heard the knob turning, she quickly dried her tears and fought the unrelenting emotions pouring into her heart.
"Namaari..."
"Yes mother?"
"Tell me what's wrong...Before I tell you what I want to talk about, tell me what's been on your chest."
Namaari couldn't hold back the emotions any longer and tears started flowing from her eyes like a river. Her crying only got worse as she was embraced by her mother.
"It's okay my morning mist. Everything will be okay."
Virana lifted her chin and said, "Tell me what's wrong."
"I can't mother...not now..."
"Does it have anything to do with Raya?"
Namaari gasped in disbelief as she momentarily stared at her mom in shock.
"N-no mother. Something else" Lied Namaari.
"Hmm...well I wanted to talk about her. I know you two are really close but do you know what that is doing darling?"
"No mother..."
"It makes Fang looks weak."
"W-What? Mom, we are no longer a separate Kingdom. We are Kumandra. Not divided anymore. We should be acquainted with each other." Explained Namaari.
"I know darling but mentally, I have not adjusted to this new normal. I don't have them in mind as enemies or rivals but in my mind, we are still Fang."
"I understand mother but the defensive mindset isn't necessary."
"Hmm...Well you are right dearest. So you're going to Benja's palace for the next 3 days?"
"Yeah."
"Okay dearest. Your stuff is packed already. Do have fun my dear."
Namaari smiled at her mother and said, "Most definitely mother. You stay safe now."
"I will my morning mist."
Namaari departed from her home with her pet cat and two servants on their cats carrying her luggage.
