Raya buried her head in Namaari's chest and said, "Namaari..."

"Yes dep la?"

"I really enjoyed that."

Namaari sighed and said in her mind, "Phew! Relief!"

"I'm happy I made you enjoy it. I told you that I would."

Raya slightly giggled then said, "I'm so exhausted dep la. I wanna sleep."

"Okay let's wash up."

Raya wasn't so shy to finish having a bath with Namaari but still avoided look at her in certain places. After getting dried, they both got their PJs. Raya then did her hair in a messy bun and went in bed. Namaari was already there. Raya noticed a worried look on her face.

"Wonder what's wrong now." Raya thought to herself.

Namaari looked anxious and was also fidgeting with her hands. She almost didn't realize that Raya sat beside her. Raya pulled her closer and said, "Okay what's up princess undercut?"

"Nothing dep la" replied Namaari in a broken voice.

"Oh really? And you think I believe you?"

"Princess, I zone out sometimes. I'm okay."

"Stop hiding your emotions and tell me what's wrong dep la" pleaded Raya.

"I-I won't be able to achieve the throne of Fang after my mother..."

Raya's eyes widened as Namaari spoke.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because...She will never approve of us being together."

"Is having a place as the chief even necessary for you? We're Kumandra."

"Not to my mom. I think that she sees us as one in the way of being allies. And as Fang tradition...I have to get married before I am considered chief."

"That's ridiculous. Plus...your... father isn't there by her side...also.." Raya's voice got in a sympathetic tone "You never actually told me about him."

"He passed before I was born. Mother always tells me that since she lost him, she strived to grow me like him and that I've grown into who she raised me to be." Said Namaari as she stared at the floor.

"I'm so sorry about that dep la" expressed Raya as she hugged Namaari.

"It's fine. Plus I never knew him. I'm just remorseful because of mother. She really loved him and she lost a loved one. And I understand how that feels to cherish someone so dearly...and I can't even imagine losing...you. And the worst thing is...it's inevitable." Namaari stared Raya in the eyes with a look of compassion.

"Don't you worry about that." Said Raya. She understood how tormented Namaari was. It's like all the years of pain have built up and are now being released. Raya gently ran her fingers through Namaari's hair and said softly, "Get some rest dep la."

She held Namaari closely and before closing her eyes to sleep, Namaari gave Raya a good night's kiss.
