Part 29

While walking, they encountered Layla. She said, "From the looks of it...things didn't go well?"

"Unfortunately...We're heading to Raya's room...She is really overwhelmed and I need her to calm down and get some rest." said Namaari.

Namaari closed the door after entering her room and they both went in bed. Namaari held Raya close and she said, "Everything is gonna be okay dep la. Don't you worry."

"But she literally ordered for you to leave tomorrow..."

"And you really think I will? She may have leadership superiority over me but she doesn't control my personal life and I am an adult. No one's taking me from you princess." expressed Namaari as she held Raya tighter.

"dep la..." said Raya as she looked Namaari in the eyes. 

"Hmm?"

"I love you so much." said Raya.

Namaari rubbed her back and pulled her in for a gentle kiss. As she kissed Raya, Raya felt an unusual sensation taking over. She felt so protected and felt loved beyond anything. Afterwards, Raya rested her head on Namaari's chest, her head just under her chin. Namaari kissed her forehead and kept her in her warm embrace and said, "Rest up baby".

"I feel--weird dep la...like...confused... And my head hurts." said Raya

"That's why you need to rest dep la."

Raya relaxed in her arms and fell asleep not long after. Not long after, Namaari heard knocking on the door. She gently put down Raya and went to open it. It was Pranee in her human form.

"Namaari, your mother requests your presence...and Raya."

Namaari sighed with a fierce expression then said, "Raya is resting right now and can't be disturbed but I'll go."

She left with Pranee. Chief Virana was sitting alone. Night was almost fully there with just a few rays of sunlight in the horizon.

"Hello mother." said Namaari in a soft, aggressive tone.

"Please sit dear." 

She sat beside her mother and Virana sighed and said, "Where is Raya?"

"Sleeping." 

"Hmm ok. Namaari, why would you do something like this?"

"Mother, I am in love with her and I have a right to love." said Namaari boldly.

"Yes, you have a right to be in love...with a man. Not another female." said the chief fiercely.

"I feel like I'm a male in the body of a female mother. And I don't want anyone else at all. She's everything to me and I want HER. You have no idea how much Raya is to me. And the bond that we have built." expressed Namaari as tears filled her eyes.

Virana's expression softened and she said, "I- I wanna apologize for my rage earlier. But this is so hard for me to accept knowing that this shouldn't have occurred. But...I don't know how you feel about each other as what Benja and Sisudatu said. But throughout your life, you've been who I raised you to be. A strong, persevering, beautiful, loyal daughter and future of Fang and Kumandra. This won't be something easy for me to live with...but I'll try." 

Namaari got emotional as she hugged her mother and said, "Thank you."

"Mhm...and please....just the thought of you doing any romantic things is sickening...so please don't let my imagination be a reality."

Namaari cringed and said, "Of course mother."

"The things I do out of love for you." said Virana.

"So we're staying here?" asked Namaari.

"Of course mist. You can stay here as long as you desire but I'm going to attend to my duties in Fang tomorrow after breakfast."

"Okay mother, thank you."

Namaari bowed to her as she departed to tell Raya the news.

She gently woke her saying, "dep la! dep la!"

"H...huh?" said Raya as she woke.

She got up and slowly opened her eyes as she said, "W-what happened? Where am I?"

"You won't believe what happened."

Raya's look got more intense as she said, "What are you doing here? A-and in my bed?!"

Namaari was confused and she said, "Wh-what do you mean?"

"You traitor!"

She got up and was getting into fight position and yelled, "Get out! I don't know what you are doing here but get out!"

"Raya, i-is this some kind of joke?!"

"Get out of my kingdom!"

Namaari was in shock, wondering why Raya started acting so aggressive. She just walked out and said, "I-I don't know why you're acting so disgusting but it is not funny!"

She had never seen Raya like this. Raya went out and said, "Guards! get this binturi out of Heart!"

Chief Benja heard what was going on and he said, "Hold up...what is going on?"

"Ba! Y-you're alive? But how? And why is she here?"

"Raya! Calm down...what happened?" said Benja.

"I...I don't know I just went to wake her and she just got aggressive almost as if she doesn't even know me" said Namaari in a hurt tone.

Benja pulled Raya to her room and said, "Namaari, stay here...let me get to the root of this... Because Raya would never act like this"

Benja closed the door and said, "Raya, what's wrong?"

"She is the reason the world broke! and Ba...I've missed you! How did you turn from stone?" She hugged her father as though she hasn't seen him in years.

Benja then realized that Raya lost some of her memory and suspected that it could have been from the challenge earlier when she hit her head.

"Raya, something is wrong. You lost some of your memory. You, Namaari and the rest of your friends saved the world and you and Namaari have come such a long way."

"W-what?" asked Raya in aggression and disbelief.

"Hmm...I'll fix this. But calm down and come with me...to the infirmary. We can help you."

"No Ba! I'm completely fine." yelled Raya.

"Raya, I don't wanna be rough with you. Just come with me."

She sighed and her Ba firmly held her by the arm as he took her to the infirmary, her eyes aggressively piercing at Namaari as she passed. In contrast, Namaari's eyes were saturated in tears as she was in disbelief.
