Part 7

"Dep la! Dep la!" whisper-shouted Raya as she shook Namaari. Namaari was having a nightmare and was groaning, trembling and sweating. She immediately sat up while gasping for breath about 15 seconds after Raya started to try and wake her up.

"Mother!" She yelled, still subconscious.

"Dep la...Calm down...You're okay." said Raya in a soothing tone.

"R-Raya... I-I'm so sorry." Said Namaari while gasping for breath.

"It's okay. You were having a nightmare."

"No! I have to go back home now!" Said Namaari trying to get up.

"Namaari! Wait..." Raya grabbed her hand and said, "Hey...don't be wreckless. Explain to me what's wrong dep la."

"I-I have to go! Raya...just leave me alone!"

The yelling woke Chief Benja and he hurried to Raya's room as he knew this was extremely unusual. He rushed in and said, "What's...what's going on?"

Raya was trying to keep Namaari in place but the poor girl was horrified from her nightmare. After about a minute, Namaari regained composure. Raya forgot about her hickeys and they were clearly visible but she and the chief were too focused on Namaari to notice anything else. Namaari broke down in tears and Chief Benja sat beside her, holding her hand.

"What's wrong? Tell me Namaari" he said soothingly. 

"Chief...I-I have to go back home...Something...something is wrong with my mother! I have to go back home!"

"Namaari, you were having a nightmare. And I'm sure Virana is okay. Fang has the most sophisticated of weapons and is heavily guarded. She's okay." assured Benja, but uncertain himself of anything that could be taking place.

Raya left to get some water for Namaari and while passing a mirror, she remembered about the hickeys and wrapped her hair around her neck. She quickly returned to her room and gave Namaari the water. She gratefully drank it then came back to being herself and realized how exhausted she was. 

"Chief, I-I'm okay..." she said

"Okay. I'll leave you both. Raya, take care of her."

"Most definitely, Ba."

After Chief Benja closed the door, Raya said, "Dep la, calm down. And tell me what's wrong."

Raya was worried as she has never ever seen Namaari so terrified. Her normally brave, courageous, noble companion, now facing a mental battle. 

"Raya...I just know something is wrong...I'm leaving first thing in the morning back to home. I know something is wrong. I've had bad nightmares but not like this...My mom it's like she was begging for help...And...I need to go home. I swear! If anyone hurts my mother-!!!!!"

"Dep la, calm down...please." Said Raya as she tried to make Namaari relax. 

"I just wanna go home...I need to go now Raya...I need to."

"Then I'm going with you."

"No dep la...I can't put you in danger. Stay home where it's safe." said Namaari while holding Raya's hands. 

"No I want to be by your side. Please Namaari."

"Dep la, this is my home. And I want to keep you safe. I promise that I will be okay. Even if I'm at my last breath, it will be with you there by my side."

"Y-you don't know that." Said Raya with tears in her eyes.

Namaari immediately rested her lips on Raya's, slightly biting them for a while then whispered, "Nothing will let me leave you behind in this world my dep la. If I don't return by noon, then you can come to Fang but stay here for now."

Raya was still in tears and Namaari got on her warrior outfit, her two swords along with other weapons and embraced Raya for a final time then left. Raya was very worried and she went to her room window. After a while, she heard an explosion far in the distance but couldn't see anything. After a few seconds, there were 3 more explosions and Raya realized it was fireworks which is usually a signal that something is wrong in Fang. Raya was startled. She got her sword and got on her red coat and ran to her father's room. As she was about to enter, he came out and she said, "Ba! Something is wrong in Fang!"

"I know dew drop."

"Namaari left on foot a few minutes ago! We have to go now and help!"

"Start ahead of us on Tuk Tuk and catch up with her. I'm sending an army now!" said Benja anxiously.

Raya quickly went outside to where Tuk Tuk was and she went on him and said, "Buddy, something's wrong and we have to go to Fang now!"

Tuk Tuk immediately rolled into the forest, headed to Fang. As they went, more fireworks started going off and Raya's anxiety spiked. Up ahead was Namaari. She was utterly exhausted from running and her anxiety and fears weakened her, inclusive of the fact that she hardly got rest. Raya hurried to her and said, "Namaari!"

"R...Raya! You have to hurry!" 

"Let me help you. "

Raya helped her onto Tuk Tuk, who rolled even faster, headed to Fang.
