I'm sorry guys for the late upload! I've been really busy this weekend with work and stuff. I hope you guys enjoy!

"And so there we were, finally reaching Athens and just thinking that if Petra did her hair, we would've still been in Prague." George ended. We all laughed at his story that's created quite a picture in our minds.
"So, how come you didn't bring your current beau tonight?" George asked, turning to me.
"George!" Petra scolded.
"No, it's - it's fine. We're good friends, so she can talk about it if she wants." Tori nodded with a reassuring smile. I sighed and sat up straight, feeling all the food I've consumed move in me as well.
"Well," I cleared my throat. "Babe and I got into an argument, and I decided to bring someone that we were all comfortable with instead of coming on my own. Plus, Tori has been with me through everything so, yeah." I spoke.
"Understood." George bidded solemnly with a grin. "I'm renting out a yacht this summer in Hawaii, and I was hoping you and your family could join us again this year." He started, facing to Jacob again.
"That's no problem, if Sally can take some days off work we'd be happy to join you for a few days." He smiled, wrapping an arm around my mom who looked very happy and comfortable in his arms.
"Well, parents I better leave you a bit early because I have to drop Tori off home." I stated, patting Tori's back, slightly harder than I intended. Maybe.
"Why so soon? We're all leaving in about 30 minutes." My mom said, looking up at me with a questioned look.
"Oh, Tori has to be home before 12."I shrugged, putting on my jacket and watching Tori do the same.
" Alright then, you kids be careful. "Jacob smiled.
" Will do, sir. Thank you all again for this wonderful dinner! I'll see you all again soon. Have a good night. " Tori spoke softly, shaking everyone's hands humbly.
" We'll see you again soon, kid. Take care." George reckoned before letting us go on our own way. As soon as we are out of sight from the table, Tori ushered for us to run towards the car which I did. Number one rule in life is always gonna be 'Run first, ask later' to me.
We got to the car and hopped in quickly before I got comfortable and set up everything. The car roared to life once I turned on the ignition and soon enough we were back on the road, the sight of the city of Brooklyn in the rear view mirror.
"So, remind me why we're rushing?" I asked, turning on my radio. Borderline by Brady started to play calmly in the car, the bass and kicks of the song rhythmically beating with my heart.
"Well, I have to be home at 12 because my parents are scared of the city and also I'm grounded so I kinda snuck out." Tori giggled, resting her head on the window, looking ahead at the bustling streets.
"Excuse me? I'm not about to be an accomplice to you sneaking out." I laughed, picking out a cigarette from my pocket and lighting it up quickly with my lighter.
"Relax, she's probably busy right now. But thank you, again. For dinner." Tori smiled, turning to me with her pretty face.
"Shut up." I chuckled.
"So, are you and Babe gonna be fine?" She questioned, slightly adjusting her body so that she was fully facing me.
"I guess so. We'll deal with it. Don't worry about it." I reassured as my brows furrowed at the sound of her name. I felt kind of awful at that reaction, but Babe has been a bit difficult lately. Maybe I should invite her to karaoke? I thought to myself. That will probably make her a bit happier and possibly more comfortable with Tori.
"I still can't believe you didn't tell me about George and Petra, though. That was a terrible move, West." Tori playfully scolded, dramatically turning away from me.
"Oh, relax, princess. It was just a simple joke. For my entertainment, at least." I smirked as I blew out smoke. I noticed Tori turn back to me with a smile forming on her face, but she didn't say anything so I didn't either.
If The World Was Ending started playing by JP Saxe, making Tori turn it out slightly.
" God, I love this song! I was distracted, and in traffic, I didn't feel it when the earthquake happened." She started. I hummed along to the melodious song and before you know it, we had reached Manhattan, quietly singing together in this small bubble of Us that we had unknowingly created. Our voices were one and for once in so long, it felt like we were one. After that break up, my whole world crashed, making me feel like I was alone in that relationship that whole time, even if I wasn't.
We finally reached her apartment as I pulled up at her door. The lights at her window were closed, and a sigh of relief left her mouth as she clutched her chest.
"Thank you so much, Jade. Tonight was really amazing." Tori professed with a glimmer of happiness in her eyes that shone perfectly as the street lamps reflected perfectly against her perfect skin.
"No problem. But you owe me, Vega." I smirked, unlocking the doors.
"Whatever." She giggled before grabbing her stuff and getting out of the car. I watched her walk to her door and safely get inside before I picked out a cigarette and lit it up. Checking my phone after hours, I saw that I had received 45 text messages from Babe and 20 missed calls from her. I rolled my eyes and unlocked my phone to check them before getting back on the road.

'Hey, Jade I'm sorry for how I acted earlier. Please call me.'

'Jade call me back please, I miss you..'

'Did you end up going with your parents? You can still come over!'

'I can come over instead if you want!'

'I'm sorry, but I just wanted to you tonight. I didn't expect the dinner thing to happen. Are you guys anywhere near Brooklyn? I can come..'

'Please jade, I'm sorry.'

I sighed and raised my phone up to my ear, the muffled sound of a ringing tone steadily beating.
"Hello?" Babe answered quickly.
"Hey. I got your texts. You ready to talk now?" I asked, bringing the burning cigarette up it my mouth.
"Yes! I'm sorry. We should've been more open about things. I didn't get to open up about how I felt about things and you seemed to ready to go to this thing, I just wasn't prepared. I'm sorry you're upset again at me." She spoke quietly as remorse dripped from her words.
"I-I guess, I'm sorry, too. It was important to me because it had to do with my family and I wasn't really able to not go. You need to understand that my family go first over anything, especially after what happened over the past year and a half." I explained quietly as I mindlessly looked at the buildings and windows around me.
"I know, and I'm sorry, love." She consoled.
"My family were expecting you tonight. Anyway, there's a karaoke place my friends and I are going to tomorrow. Would you like to come?" I asked nervously as I finished up my cigarette.
"Of course. Yes, that sounds amazing." She answered with a smile shaping her voice. We exchanged goodbye's and off I went onto the road, on my way back home.
Once I reached my building, I slowly parked in my usual parking space and quickly grabbed my things, wanting to get in a warm shower. As I walked to the elevator, I could hear second foot steps echo lightly from somewhere in the huge parking garage. I picked up my speed, but to my surprise and fear, the other foot steps did the same. My feet started running and thankfully the elevator was open and at that floor, giving me easy access to slip in and quiet go up to my floor. The mysterious footsteps never revealed the person, but instead became early quiet as the doors closed me in safely. The warm lights and wooden interior of the elevator made me feel slightly at ease, and the numbers rising up to my floor made my heart rate decrease back to a normal rate. Maybe it was nothing, I thought to myself as I took deep breaths. The elevator stopped at my door thankfully slowly and the doors opened, revealing my apartment door. I unlocked the door and walked in to the safety of my house, the sounds of my dog running down the stairs to greet me happily and my parents in the living room watching some television quietly in the living room washed my whole body in security. Letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding, Ice ran to me, excitedly trying to jump into my arms.
"Hi, Icey! Who's my handsome little devil?" I coddled, locking the door securely behind me before making my way down the halls.
"Honey?" My mom called out from the living room.
"Yep! I'm home. When did you guys get here?" I asked, making a turn towards the living room.
"About 20 minutes ago, too." She said, comfortably laying on the couch with Jacob who was almost asleep.
"Alright. I'm going to bed. Good night mom." I nodded, walking over to her and giving her a kiss. My presence startled Jacob and woke him up making him jerk ever so slightly.
"Oh, hey. Did Tori get home alright?" Jacob asked groggily, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"Yeah, don't worry. I'm going to bed now, alright?"
"Sure, darling. Good night." He hummed as I gave him a small hug before walking away with my dog by my side.
As I entered my room and quickly made it to the bathroom, I didn't know that I held a smile on my face at the thought of a special someone that had fun with me tonight. Maybe there was a future there, after all.
