Sorry it's been a while since I've updated, I've been struggling internally, but I'll be updating as often as usual. Thanks for the understanding!

I had arrived at school and so far had a pretty boring day. There was a play that was going into production written by another student here, but I was not interested in it since I had to read for another play that I was auditioning for later today. My dance class was relatively boring, but good at the same time knowing that I was getting some form of exercise. Unfortunately, I did bump into Cat when I passed her outside the dance class.
"Where the heck have you been?!" Cat growled angrily, smacking my arm.
"I've been dancing, what?" I winced, clutching my arm in pain. She may be tiny, but Sam has made Cat stronger and more devious than before. Not sure if I had to be proud or scared.
"I meant you've not been calling or answering our texts or anything these past few days! We were worried." She responded, her brows furrowing.
"Oh. I'm fine. I've been fine. After the whole engagement thing, Babe and I made up. We've been at my place for the past few days, so it's no worry at all. I-I kinda lost track of time." I chuckled.
"Mean." Cat whined before walking away to get to class. I shrugged before walking away to catch my next class. I had my song-writing class and then Sikowitz' next.
Walking in, I saw that Andre and Tori were talking to our other classmates, making me roll my eyes. This is the last thing I needed, honestly. Walking up to them, I overheard Andre telling the story of when we met Kenan Thompson and iCarly.
"And there we were! Kenan and I were runnin' around his house, tryin' to chase this damn panda!" The others laughed, and I sighed.
"HEY!" I yelled, causing everyone to flinch and walk away in awkwardness and fear. Not gonna lie, this made me smile.
"Jade! You've scared off our classmates!" Tori whined.
"Oh really?" I asked sarcastically, mocking Tori with the usual transatlantic accent before taking my seat.
"I don't talk liked that!" She argued, makings me smirk.
"So, I heard that we were having a Mixer in a month. Supposedly, agents, artists and producers were gonna come and have some sort of recruitment going on." Andre mentioned, sucking on a lollipop. Ugh!
"Ugh. I have no idea what to perform. I've not written anything new in a bit, and I have an audition for a play later. Also, what the hell is a Mixer here?" I asked in annoyance.
"The Mixer here is sort of like a party. It's not as laid back here, and we have to be in a tux and dresses, but we'll have to mingle with the agents, artists, and such." Andre explained.
"HA! So, what dress will you be wearing? I'll let you borrow one of mine." I chuckled, playing with a pair of scissors I had in my bag's pocket.
"Soo, what's the play about?" Tori asked excitedly, changing the subject..
"Veronica didn't specify. Guess we'll talk later." I shrugged. Before our conversation could continue, our professor walked in, causing us to tone down the ruckus we were creating.
"Hello. Please take out your notebooks, and write down what I'm going to tell you." Professor Reynolds stated with a grin. We all obliged, and waited before he picked up the marker and wrote down the words 'Pairs' on the board.
"Right. So, this is your first major projects which will determine 60% of your grade in this class as well as your productions class. The Mixer is in a month, and I will be pairing each of you together to write a song. Complete with the mixing and mastering of your song, as well as the lyrics. You will then have to let your professor for productions see how you mix and master the song because you'll only be able to work on them in the school computers where the professor can check your work freely. I'll check the composition of your song, the lyrics, the wording, and the way the story evolves. Once that's done, you'll have to show me your lyrics, explain the story behind it, and then once it's gotten the approval from both your professors, you'll have to perform it at the Mixer."
"So, when is the Mixer?" Another kid asked.
"It's in a month, on November 12th. Now, the pairs are, Alex and Harry.. Ella and Greg... Shawn and Devon.. Andre and Sandra.. Jade and Tori.." I was about to stab myself in the chest at that moment, but instead my hand flew up.
"Yes?" He asked, pointing at me.
"I don't feel comfortable with my partner!" I stated angrily, gritting my teeth at the word 'partner'.
"I'm sorry, Jade. My decision is final." He smiled before continuing with the list of names. I fell back on my seat before noticing that Tori was staring in confusion. I've had the best three days, filled with love and lots of sex, without Tori in mind or Tori-related arguments, but here I am, about to dive head-first into one later on. It's like the universe is trying to kill me, but I'm ready. Three pairs of scissors in my bag, and I felt prepared to take on the universe at this point.
