I turned around as music started to play in the background. My eyes widened as realization hit me that we were back at Tori's house in LA. It was the New Year's Eve party. There was a lot of people dancing to the muffled music that sounded a lot like me being underwater. I walked up the stairs, looking around in awe at the house that I've not been in in a while. Getting to Tori's room, I noticed it was dimly lit, almost dark with just a few candles. I turned to the bed and saw that Tori was on her bed, making out with that guy that was yelling at her. Tori watched me quietly as this guy was leaving hungry kisses on her neck and chest. She ran her fingers through his hair, inviting him closer to her body.
My head was light at the shock of this sight, "I think I'm gonna faint."

I woke up to a bright light shining in my eyes. I guess I did faint, I thought to myself. I blinked a few times, my eyes adjusting to the darkness that surrounded the only source of light. Wanting to rub my eyes from the sleep I was in, I motioned to rise my hand to my face, but something was tying them back. I looked back to find my hands were tied to the chair I was sitting on and slowly, scanning the room, I realised I was in the warehouse. I tried screaming, but it was like my vocal chords had been ripped out and silence was all I could hear.
My body was frantically squirming and shaking around, trying to get out of this situation, but nothing was happening. Before I could think to try something else, the door swung open only to see someone indistinguishable walk in with a bat in hand, except something was different this time.
I couldn't raise my head up out of fear, leaving me with the minimum visual of someone's legs and the top of a bat that was hanging at that person's side. Slowly trying to raise my head up, the last thing I saw was a bat swinging towards my face.

I gasped loudly before sitting up, and taking a quick scan of the place I was in, cautiously trying to be quiet. My eyes adjusted to the dim lights, and I quickly realised that I was back in my room, and everything before that was a dream.
"More like a nightmare." I groaned quietly. I checked my phone and saw that it was 6 o'clock in the morning. Damn it, I never get any proper sleep these days, I thought to myself before planting a kiss on Ice's head who was asleep beside me the entire night.
I checked my Instagram and saw that Ben, Caleb and Macy followed me, liking a few of my recent posts, too. The guys have messaged our group chat as well wondering if we reached home safely. I chucked my phone away and picked up Midnight who had gotten up and rubbed up against my legs, begging for cuddles and food.
I walked out of my room with Ice and Midnight and we slowly made our way downstairs to the kitchen. The cold wooden floors sent shivers up my spine as I opened up the large blinds covering three of our ceiling-to-floor vertical windows in the living room with the remote control. I opened up one of the cupboards under the island and took out the cat and dog food before putting a small amount in the bowls. As they both ate their breakfast, I walked back upstairs and quietly walked into my room, making sure I didn't wake anyone up and went into my bathroom.

The zipper on my jacket smoothly went up and then I was ready to go. I grabbed Ice's leash and harness and walked downstairs to the door. Once I reached down, I called Ice and strapped on the harness on him before grabbing my keys and unlocking the door to the elevator.
"Let's go, buddy." We walked into the elevator once it arrived at our floor and made out way out the building once we were down. The cool morning breeze definitely woke me up as we made our way down the street. I spotted a small cafe nearby and walked towards it with Ice close by, excitedly walking beside me.
It was a small warm-lit cafe with just one worker casually making a couple of coffees behind the counter. The coffee machine was making a soft, almost inaudible buzz as it grinded the coffee grounds, unleashing the strong and pleasant aroma of coffee.
"Good morning, Miss. What can I get for you?" The worker asked, turning around to face me. He was tall with olive skin and curly brown hair. His eyes were a dark shade of green, only able to be seen when light would hit it just right. He smiled, showing off a small dimple and pearly white teeth. I would've been silent in awe at his good looks if it wasn't for Ice tugging at the leash to leave.
"Oh! Uh, yeah, good morning. Can I have a cappuccino with no foam, please?" I requested quietly, regaining my composure.
"Sure." He nodded before turning away to make his coffee. The bell on the door that indicated someone had come in emitted a pure sound, causing me to turn my head. A man with a purple baseball cap and black sun glasses walked in, waiting uncomfortably close to me to get his order. I moved my hand to my side, moving Ice in between us, but that didn't make the man move. Thankfully, the cute batista finished my coffee. I fished out a 10 from my pocket and left it on the counter before quickly leaving the store. Once I found myself out in the safety of the busy streets, I looked back as saw that he had turned his head slightly to watch me. I quickly walked away towards central park with Ice close to my legs to avoid us walking too slow for him to catch up. The sun was slowly rising up on the horizon, providing a warm glow over the city.
I unleashed Ice and took a seat at a bench, peacefully taking a sip from my coffee. He wandered around me in plain sight, occasionally stopping to sniff something out or going to the bathroom. I pulled out my phone and checked the time which was 6:57am then went to my text messages to let Babe know that I was up. Once I was done with that, I reached into my pocket and pulled a cigarette out before lighting it up and enjoying that cigarette with my coffee. This time of the day was an oasis of serenity amidst a bustling city at the park with only a few joggers, dog walkers and old people taking an early stroll through the park. I liked coming here to think and just get away from everything once in a while. Ice immediately ran back to me in glee, wagging his tail with a stick in his mouth. A smile formed on my face before I took the stick from his mouth and threw it ahead of me. He quickly ran to retrieve it then brought it back, sitting obediently as he waited for my next move. I grabbed the stick and chucked it away once more before throwing my cigarette away. Ice came back, seemingly getting more excited as we played, but something caught my attention in the corner of my eye. I turned to see that the man at the cafe was jogging just across the pond from us. My eyes widened as I quietly got up from my place and snapped my fingers to get his attention. I patted my thighs, signalling for him to come me and when he did, I quickly leashed him and sped walked away before he got a chance to get to us.
Was this guy stalking me? I asked myself.

Ice and I walked through the door at the elevator and heard rustling in the kitchen. I walked through the hall and got to the kitchen to see Jacob cooking some breakfast in his pajamas, and my mom making some coffee.
"Good morning, honey." My mom greeted cheerfully.
"Good morning, mom. Good morning, Jacob." I responded before waking up to them and leaving a kiss on their cheeks.
"How was your walk, kiddo?" Jacob asked, flipping a pancake skillfully.
"It was good.." I answered slowly, contemplating whether or not I should tell them about the potential stalker who could've just been a creep who wanted to jog.
"That's nice. Are your friends up, too?" He questioned.
"I'm not sure. I'll go check." I said.
"We're gonna be meeting Petra and George for dinner tonight. Would you and Babe wanna join us?" Jacob asked, helping my mom set the table.
I stopped in my tracks as flashbacks of Tori, Petra and I having our rated-R fun back in Greece. My groin throbbed and my heart skipped a beat at the thought, but I just shook it off and turned back to them.
"Uhm, no, I think we--"
"I'm sorry, our bad. We meant, you're coming. It's not a question, end of story." My mom interjected before continuing. "George and Petra were asking about you and wanted to see you and Tori, but we let them know about what happened with the both of you so, normally they'd wanna see you and know if you're okay."
Internally, I groaned, but nodded anyway before I was excused once again. Reaching upstairs, I swung open the door and found that Tori and Cat were up. Sam was still asleep, covering her head with the duvet.
"Good morning, ladies." I sang before removing my jacket and throwing my stuff on the bed.
"Good morning, Jade." Cat responded sleepily with a smile.
"Good morning, where'd you go?" Tori asked, tying her hair up in a bun.
"I went to walk Ice and got a coffee on the way to the park." I answered tiredly as I slipped into my flip flops.
"So, what time does Sam usually wake up?"
Cat turned around from her phone and made sure Sam had a blanket over her head, "She usually wakes up at noon, and gets really cranky if she's woken up too early."
I nodded quietly before getting on my knees and slowly getting closer to her head.
"Hey, Sam. My Dad's cooking bacon and pancakes downstairs." I whispered.
She whipped the blanket off her head and lifted her bird's nest of a head from the pillow, "I heard bacon." She answered incoherently with a morning voice.
"My dad's made a lot of bacon." I stated nonchalantly. Sam got up and made her way to the bathroom. Cat looked up at me with a worried look before Sam peaked her head around the door at us.
"The girl said there's bacon, let's make a move on." She hollered before shutting the door behind her. Cat giggled, looking relieved now that she's found a way to wake her significant other calmly.

"Good morning, babe." Babe moaned, obviously sounding like I've woken her up.
"Hey, hun. How was your sleep?" I asked, smoking a cigarette and drinking my coffee as Friends played in the background.
"It was good before you called me, what's up? "
"Well, I've got this thing with my parents tonight and they said that I had to bring you. Do you wanna go?" I asked, unknowingly biting my thumbnail.
"Babe, I thought we were gonna stay at my place tonight since my parents were going to be out all night." She stated, sounding more attentive and awake.
"I know, but it's my family a--"
"Fine, if you wanna go hang out with them instead of me, I understand, but I can't leave because I have to watch the place till my parents get back." She grumbled before hanging up the phone irritably. Did I do something wrong again? I asked myself.
