After an hour and a half, I ended the session at my studio and decided to get ready because I could not skip on tonight and I was too upset to write anything. I've lost the will to make art, how nice. Walking to my room, I closed the door behind me and received a text from Macy.

Macy Ryan:

Dude, I just got off the phone with Ben who told me that Cat told him that she saw your girl with someone else.. are you alright?

Me:

I'm confused, but I'll be fine. She said it isn't what I think it is, but it's good. I'll figure something out..

I had switched out the SIM cards and memory cards from the current phone I had broken and the previous one I used to text Tori on.. and contact my pedophile, fuckwad of a biological father, but you know.. whatever.
Ice was back and was on his bed in my room looking all cleaned up. He was asleep and didn't seem to have the energy to get up and lick me so he got up, acknowledged my arrival and fell back down to sleep. I walked to my vanity and wiped my makeup off to put on new makeup. I did a light brown smokey eye and eyeliner, and paired a dark red lip with it. I brushed out my wavy hair, pinned the top half back and changed clothes after.
I got into a black, high waisted denim skirt with a full front zipper, black sheer tights, a black long-sleeved top tucked into the skirt, topped with a black coat and into some black pumps. Once I was done dressing up, someone knocked on my door, slightly startling me.
"Woah." I turned to see Tori staring in awe, unaware that I was doing the same. Tori was in a black power suit, wearing nothing under her black blazer, but a black lace bodysuit. She styled it well with some pointed heels, a simple envelope clutch and some jewelry.
"You look amazing." I spoke softly before I turned to pick out a bag. I picked up a small black bag with a silver chain for the handle and started putting my necessary things in it.
"Thanks, you look great, too." Tori responded.
"Thanks. So, I'm ready. Where are we going?" I asked, sighing at the idea of having to move.
"At this fancy Italian restaurant near S-- have you been crying?" She asked concerned, coming closer to me. As she was about to touch my face, I quickly grabbed her arm and placed it back down on her side.
"Don't. I'm fine." I responded sternly to which she obviously didn't believe me, but nodded to anyway. We both made our way out of my room and down the stairs.
"Hey, honey. " Jacob greeted quietly by the end of the stairs.
"You look gorgeous, sweetie." My Mom chimed in, getting up from the couch and walking closer to me.
"Thank you." I whispered. "I'm sorry for earlier."
"It's alright, Jade. I heard you earlier, we can talk later, alright?" My mom suggested with a smile. I nodded and flashed my parents a smile before Tori greeted them goodbye with hugs. We made our way to the elevator and clicked on the button to the lobby. We were living at the top so the awkward silence between us got more and more loud in a sense. I turned to her direction slightly and saw the way the light shone above her just right, giving more highlight to the perfect parts of her face. She was almost shimmering in a sense, like a goddess that's come down from heaven. What am I saying? She's with Caleb! I'm with Babe! Wait, no, I'm not. But Caleb is my friend! Well... is he? But that'll be disrespectful! I can't kiss her. I'm just in my feelings right now about the whole Babe thing. I'm fine, I thought to myself and before I could decide if I would do anything or nothing, the door opening at the lobby interrupted me.
"Jade." Tori smiled and ushered me to go first. I thanked her with a nod and a small smile before walking in front of her. I'm such a dumbass. We passed by the doorman, greeting him with a small smile and a nod as he kindly held the door for us with a smile. We got out and saw the Uber driving towards us which Tori had called.
"Hop in, my love." Tori joked, opening up the backseat door.
I did as instructed with a small smile that crept up on my face out of nowhere. She shut the door behind me and got in from the other side.
"Hello ladies, ready?" The driver asked from the front.
"Yep, all good." Tori answered.
"So, where are we going?" I asked, piking at the hem of my coat.
"Well, apparently, Sam was gonna take Cat out to Elisa's, so that's where we are going."
"Isn't that place like a high end restaurant?" I pondered, turning to Tori who was just watching me.
"Yeah, but Sam did say we were celebrating." Tori explained. I nodded and turned away to watch as we passed the strangers that walked the streets and cars that drove the roads.
"I-is everything okay?" She asked quietly, leaning in closer. I didn't turn back though, knowing that I was bound to do something stupid if I did, so I just shook my head as I continued looking through the window. The sky was pretty at this time of the day. The blue sky had turned orange with some pink that blended seamlessly with the dark blue that was slowly overshadowing the sunset.
"I'm fine, Vega." I sighed.
"Alright. Well, are you prepared to do a little throwback?" The Latina asked with a small giggle.
I just chuckled, "Yeah, I guess. But don't make it weird." I snapped, to which she just nodded with wide eyes filled with fear and confusion.
