My phone buzzed the next morning, indicating I was being called at an ungodly hour in the morning. I uncovered my face from the duvet and squinted slightly irritated from the brightness of my phone.
I grabbed my phone and answered it.
"Who's this and what do you want?" I croaked.
"Good morning to you too, Jade." Babe laughed.
"Oh, shit. Hi, good morning. Sorry. What's up?" I asked, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"Well, I'm having breakfast and gonna get ready soon and you should to. You said you'd drop me off at Game Shakers today, remember?"
I quickly sat up, and ran a hand through my hair, internally beating myself over forgetting that I promised her to do that today because of what happened yesterday.
" Oh, yeah I remember. Don't worry. I'll go get ready now, I'll call you when I get in the car." I explained.
When we hung up, I flopped back down on the bed and groaned before grabbing the remote and lifting the blinds from my window.
The sun filled my room with light making me squint once again. I got up and noticed Ice hasn't woken up yet, and Midnight was by my window, enjoying the warm sun.
I flopped on top of Ice, waking him up in the process, only for him to lick my face with so much love. I have him a kiss on the head and opened my computer. Once it was on, I got on Spotify and put my music on shuffle before walking over to my wardrobe to pick out an outfit to wear.
I settled on a pair of black skinny jeans, a black, cropped band shirt and my sk8 hi vans. It was a rather hot day, so I was gonna bring my leather jacket but leave it in the car just in case.
I got in the bathroom and did my daily routine a little hurriedly.

"Good morning, baby. Breakfast?" Jacob asked, flipping some pancakes.
"Good morning you guys. Sure." I nodded, grabbing a plate from the cabinet above the stove, and making my way to the dining table.
"So, you excited for your first day of class?" My Mom asked.
"Yeah, although it's quite strict compared to Hollywood Arts." I shrugged.
"I see." My Mom responded before checking her watch. "Oh, I'm gonna be late. I've got to get to work."
She said her goodbyes and out the door she went. My Mom's therapy office opened, and her clientele has grown so she's busy, but finds a way to spend time with us.
"So, you want me to drop you off? I'm gonna go into town anyways. You remember George from Greece right?" Jacob asked, taking a sip from his coffee.
I nodded, "Well, he and Petra aren't doing so well. She apparently wants to open their relationship or something. Bring another girl into their lives." He shrugged. I choked, rememebering what happened between Petra, Tori and I at the yacht.
"Are you okay? Jesus." Jacob patted my back trying to help.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I gotta go. Babe's waiting for me." I laughed before eating up my last piece of pancake. Getting up, I grabbed my bag and gave Jacob and Ice a kiss before heading out the door.

"Hey, I'm in the car, I'll be there in 20 minutes, okay?"
"Alright. See you soon. Bye." Babe ended the call only for met to start the car and get another call.
It was Tori. My phone was connected to the speakers in my car, so I had no worries of the cops pulling me over.
"Hello? Tori?" I asked confused by her sudden call.
"Hey! Jade, thank God you answered. Where are you?" She asked, seemingly out of breath.
"I just got in my car, what's up?"
"I haven't learned how to use the buses and the subway here, and Trina is out. I tried calling the others, but they're already at the campus. Well, I was wondering if I could get a ride?"
I could easily throw a snarky remark right now, but I decided against it.
"Can't you get a cab?"
"No, Trina stole some money from my wallet so all I've got is fifteen bucks."
"Alright, where are you?"
"10 West 65th Street. I'm outside my building, so you'll see me."
"Okay, see you in five."
"Thank you. You're a life saver." She said happily, before hanging up.
"Will I be able to save you from Babe?" I sighed to myself before calling Babe.
"Hello?"
"Hey.. So, I've gotta help a friend. They need a ride to school with me." I slowly mentioned.
"That's cool, who is it?" She asked, calmly.
"You're not gonna like it."

I drove down the street, looking at the classic red brick buildings you see in the movies, and saw Tori standing in front of her door in a black crop top, black jeans, checkered Vans and a long floral cardigan.
I stopped in front of her and unlocked the doors, putting the window down.
"Vega! Get in." I called out. She happily waved and walked over, ready to get in the front. I quickly locked the door, fearing fr my life. She looked back up at me confused, my heart skipping a beat.
"We're picking up Babe. She's sits in the front." I said, slowly.
She nodded and walked towards the back where I unlocked the door.
Tori got in and closed the door before putting on her seat belt.
"Thanks again so much. I really appreciate it." She mentioned.
"It's nothing. See? Should've gotten a license, Vega."I shrugged, turning the music back up.
I felt her fume behind me since her not getting a license was a joke we've all laughed about since high-school. An old song started playing, Wild Thoughts, which I drummed my fingers against the wheel and sang to as I drove towards the closest Starbucks.
Tori harmonised along, and moments later I found myself laughing to her dumb dancing and funny rapping.
We got to Starbucks and pulled up to the window, giving our orders including a coffee for Babe.

"Thanks for the coffee." Tori smiled.
"No problem." I responded, lighting a cigarette up.
"So, school?" She asked, rolling her window down too.
"Actually, Brooklyn." I stated, making a turn.
"Brooklyn? We've got class in an hour!" Tori reminded anxiously.
"I know. We'll pick Babe up, drop her off at work then we'll have enough time to make it back to school." I explained.

We arrived in Brooklyn, in front of Babe's house with her looking slightly frustrated.
I honked my horn, and watched her walk over to my car before hopping in the front seat.
"Hey." The shorter Latin greeted, getting comfortable before wrapping at arm around my nape and bringing me in for a kiss.
"Hi, Babe. I got you coffee." I mentioned, handing her the large cup that was in my cup holder.
"Hey, how are you?" Tori asked cheerfully, leaning in towards the front in the middle of the backseat.
"I'm good." Babe responded with a big grin before turning away to the front.
"I-I'm good, too. Thanks for asking. Not." Tori mumbled quietly before leaning back.
Just as I started the car, Babe reached out and put her Spotify playlist that I had on my account to play.
"Woah, you're both serious?" Tori chuckled.
I peered at her through the rear view mirror, "What do you mean?"
"Well, you never let anyone touch the radio, nor change the music. You don't even listen to Selena Gomez and we're in your car listening to her."
As I was about to answer, I could visibly see Babe giving me a deadly look, daring me to fuck up.
"No, yeah it's serious. She's even made a playlist on my account with her favorite songs." I responded emotionless. That was a lie.
Babe helped me pack up my stuff from the studio to ship over to New York and she created this playlist to cheer me up a bit while we were packing. I never intended for her to play it in the car, but she's my girlfriend. With pretty shitty music taste.
"Lord, help me." I muttered under my breath.
