The time rolled by quite fast as the 4 of us got ready at my place. We got down to the garage and made our way to my car.
"I'm super excited!" Cat clapped and excitedly linked her arms with Babe as they walked past the different vehicles.
"So, how are you?" Tori asked me awkwardly, discreetly trying to ask if I was okay with her and Babe being in the same area.
"I'm alright. Babe wants to get to know you more and be friendly and honestly, that's all I wanted. My girlfriend and my friends to get a long." I answered with a small smile.
"Oh, that's nice." Tori nodded with a smile. As we got closer to my car, I heard Babe gasp making my eyes shoot up straight. I noticed the same weird guy who was in the elevator with my the other day peaking through my car windows.
"HEY!" I yelled, my voice reverberating throughout the spacious parking lot. He jumped back slightly in shock before scurrying away in a hurry. Before I could reach him, he had vanished after turning the corner.
"Son of a bitch." I huffed before walking back to my car.
"Nobody go near the car." I commanded sternly before grabbing my phone and making a call.
"Hello?" Jacob answered cheerfully.
"Hey dad, it's Jade. I need you to come down to the garage and check my car, please. There was a creep snooping into my fucking car and I just wanna make sure there's nothing on my car." I explained stressfully.
"I'll be there in a sec. Stay put." His voice lowered before hanging up.
"Aren't you gonna call the police?" Babe asked in a shock.
"No, Jacob's coming down." I shrugged.
After a couple of minutes, the elevator dinged and a pair of footsteps walked quickly towards us, revealing it was Jacob. He grabbed his really bright flashlight and looked through every crevice before using a couple of gadgets to thoroughly check and nothing came back.
"All clear, Jade. There's no need to worry." Jacob sighed with content as he got up and dusted himself off.
"Thank you so much. Just wanted to be safe." I replied before giving him a hug.
"It's alright, darling. Go on ahead and have fun, it's a Friday night." He chuckled, ushering us to hop in. We all got into the car and I rolled my window down.
"Love you, Jacob. I'll won't be late." I called out, driving out of my parking space.
We drove out of the garage, and into the safety of the busy streets. We came to a halt at a stop light, letting me hit shuffle safely on my phone. Can I by Kehlani started playing on my phone, loud enough to block out the noise from outside but quiet enough to hear each other.
"That was insane, though." Babe groaned before breaking out into a laugh. "I thought we were gonna get mugged or something."
"Dude, same. I thought he was gonna try and break into the car or something." Tori piped up with a chuckle. I took a quick glance in my side and rear view mirrors and spotted Tori and Babe giggling together at what each other said which made me smile slightly while drumming my fingers to the song.
"One time, my brother had to leave this heavily secured building because he had to get his favorite plant real bad and so he broke into a random van to try and go to the closest florist." Cat laughed hysterically which made my brows furrow in concern.
"What's - What's so funny?" Tori asked slowly with a nervous smile.
"Well, the van didn't work!" Cat laughed, clutching her stomach. Babe and I just exchanged looks before falling into silence. I turned the volume up and we started jamming to ourselves, some even started singing along.
The drive wasn't long and soon enough we had arrived at the karaoke place. We found a parking spot and make our way to the entrance of the karaoke place.
"Dude, this place looks pretty cool." Tori marvelled, looking around at the neon decor.
"I think I found our table." I spoke, and led the group to the table in a corner close to the stage in a smoking area. The boys were there as well as Ben, Macy and Caleb. Ben was dressed, fashionably simple with a hint of sparkle, lifting his simple outfit with a dazzling jacket and glitter liner while Macy dressed rather simple yet darker with a white button up shirt, black skinny jeans, a simple leather jacket and some sneakers, with jewelry to lift the outfit up. Caleb looked like Caleb with a pair of jeans that look like he grabbed it off the floor, a grey hoodie and black bomber jacket.
"West is in the house!" Macy hollered happily before laughing her ass off.
"What's happening?" I asked with a confused smile.
"She's had two tequila sunrises since we've been here." Ben responded, rolling his eyes at her.
"Hey, Tori. Come have a seat, I'll buy you a drink." Caleb gestured once he stood up, pulling out the empty chair beside his. I watched as she smiled timidly before accepting his proposal and taking a seat right next to him. I couldn't help but huff at the sight before taking a seat next to Babe and Beck. Lord, I know you can hear me, but why is the only empty seat available in between both my previous partners and my currenct one? I thought in my head.
"So, ladies. No that you've arrived? Shall we get our groove on?" Andre chuckled, vibing to the 40 year old dude who was singing Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley in a key so far from the original.
"Sure, y'all go ahead. I'll get a drink first." I nodded. Andre and Cat went up to request a song to be in the queue while a short, coiled-haired girl walked over to us.
"Hey, my name is Lakeysha, and I'll be serving you guys tonight." The waitress smiled, placing a few menus down for us.
"Thanks, can I get a whiskey on the rocks with a twist?" I asked.
"I'll have a strawberry milkshake with two shots of vodka and a chocolate drizzle. Thank you." Babe ordered next. The waitress took down our order and swiftly left us once she was done.
"So, how you guys doin?" Macy asked, taking a sip from her almost finished seconds of tequila cocktail.
"Good, it's been tiring. I just wish it's all worth it because this school seems so, ugh." I groaned, taking out a cigarette and lighting it up.
"Hey, lighten up. It only seems worse right now because your exams should be coming up. Things will calm back down soon." She responded.
"Yeah, but it's still a pain. I wish I could just get it over with and start looking for jobs." I sighed, taking a puff from my cigarette.
"Hey, baby, can we switch seats so I can be closer to Tori?" Babe asked me with a smile.
"Really? Uh sure." I responded, switching seats with her. I turned and saw that Babe called out to Tori and started a discussion with her and Beck as well as Caleb. A smile cracked on my face as I realised that maybe this could go right.
"Anyway, so how are things going with..?" Ben didn't finish his sentence verbally but instead pointed with his eyes. I turned and saw he was looking at Babe.
"I mean, better. Way better. She said she was gonna try and put in the effort to be friends with the other one and I appreciate that." I shrugged, grabbing my drink from the waitress that was going to leave it on the table.
"Wow. That sounds like a breakthrough. I'm proud of you girl." Ben winked before taking a sip from his drink. I chuckled and saw that Andre and Cat were next to sing, causing our whole group to cheer loudly and proudly for our friends.
"Hey guys! Thank you for having us." Andre spoke calmly with a smile. Save Your Tears by The Weeknd started to play with Andre starting the song. We danced and clapped to their amazing voices that were harmonizing beautifully together.
"West, we gotta sing a song together!" Macy hollered from across the table with a grin.
"What song do you wanna sing?" I asked, taking a sip from my drink.
"Let's all sing Lady Marmalade! I've got my hair and nails done and I feel hot." Macy laughed, practically wheezing out all the cocktails she's drunk.
"Alright, alright. Let's get Tori and Cat in the song too." I laughed, giving Babe a small reassuring squeeze on her thigh. I turned to her and saw her engaging in a relaxed and fun conversation with Tori which just lifted my spirits more.
"So, how are things going with you and Caleb?" I overheard Babe ask, making me raise an eye brow in interest.
"Oh, well. I mean, we aren't a couple." Tori responded.
"Oh, I see."
"But we are talking on a daily basis." She finished making me slightly choke on my drink.
"Ooh, so do you think he'll be asking you out soon?" Babe asked, her interest clearly piqued.
"I don't know. I'm not trying to rush into anything at the moment, but it's nice knowing I'm moving forward somehow." Tori chuckled. Moving forward somehow? What does that mean? Is she referring to what we talked about at that party on the roof?
My thoughts were interrupted with the loud applause from the crowd when Andre and Cat finished the song. I joined in, too before turning to the front and letting Tori know that Macy has put us next.
"Babe, do you need another drink?" I asked after drinking mine in one shot.
"I'm still working on mine, but go ahead. I'll order another one for you." She laughed. I nodded and was about to head up to the stage with the girls but Babe grabbed me and pulled me back, leaving a kiss on my lips. She let me go, and soon the girls and I got on stage. Macy and Cat went to let the DJ know of our song choice, leaving Tori and I in the corner.
"So, have you chosen a verse?" I asked.
"I think I'll go for Pink since I didn't have time to warm up." She responded with a shy smile.
"Pretty good choice, Vega. I think I'll go for Christina." I responded with a smirk.
"Good luck to you then." She ends with a wink. I just chuckled, and the girls returned, letting us know they'd take the rest of the verses. Cat doing Mya and Macy doing Lil Kim. Despite Cat being perfect for Christina's part, I just wanted to let go right now and sing.
The music started and Macy started the intro with her sultry, but light voice.

"Where's all my soul sista's?
Lemme hear y'all flow sista's
Hey sista', go sista', soul sista', flow sista'
Hey sista', go sista', soul sista', go sista'"

Cat turned on her attitude and got to the front of the stage, flaunting that amazing voice and her long, red hair.

"He met Marmalade down in old Moulin Rouge
Struttin' her stuff on the street
She said, "Hello, hey Joe! You wanna give it a go?"
Oh! Uh-huh "

Her and Macy then got together and had a massive feminist moment just empowering each other on stage which was just a sight I loved to see.

" Gitchie, gitchie, ya-ya, da-da (Hey, hey, hey)
Gitchie, gitchie, ya-ya, here (Here)
Mocha Chocolata, ya-ya (Ooh, yeah)
Creole Lady Marmalade
What-what, what-what, what-what
Ooh, oh"

Tori and I strutted up to them, entering the chorus together. Tori had a beautiful smile of excitement on which she never noticed, but I did. She always had that when she'd sing. Even during a sad song, she'd show a bittersweet smile of excitement, but the sorrow is too heavy.

"Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir? (Oh -oh)
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"

Tori did her thing during her verse and revealed a side of her I haven't seen in a while. She was sexy, and owned the stage as if she was the only one on stage. Her stage presence had improved tremendously and her voice has matured like fine wine, still amazing but with a little spice from all the effort she's put in. My turn officially came up and I released my inner Christina Aguilera, swaying my hips to the beat and letting my voice do its thing with the song. I turned and caught Babe staring in awe as well as a peak of Tori doing the same. The song, however came to an end and after our last harmonised riff at the end, the boom of applause and whistles was loud from up here.
We bowed respectfully and got off the stage to join our table once more. I was the last one in our line and just before I could reach our table, my shoulder unexpectedly hit something hard. I stumble slightly to the side and turned to see these three girls who looked like they were straight out of Mean Girls. The two lap dogs on both sides were petite and looked like they were caked with expensive make up and ate nothing but salads, and their supposed leader was platinum blonde with a bitter look on her face. They reaked of Chanel and not in a good way.
"Yeah, uh watch where you're going!" I barked in annoyance, trying to wipe off their drinks from my jacket.
"No, watch where you're going in our club." Blondie responded with a condescending smirk.
"UGH, what is it with snotty girls and their karaoke clubs. As if I didn't have trouble enough back at Karaokie Dokie." I complained out loud.
"I don't understand stupid, but anyway, you're in my way." She stated with a giggle that sounded like nails on a black board. Before she could make her way around me, I grabbed her by the hair and pulled her back before snaking my arm around her neck and pulling her down to the floor.
" YO! Jade! What's happening?!" I heard Sam yell out as she ran towards us.
"This bitch was all up in my face when she pushed me." I growled, dusting myself off as I stood up from my knee. "And when did you get here?" I asked really confused.
"Wh- Oh, right before Cat started singing. You guys were pretty good. I got held up at work though, so I couldn't meet you guys." Sam shrugged.
"What the hell happened?!" Beck asked, walking up to see what Sam, the 2 lap dogs and I were bunching over. I then heard a gasp which I'm assuming was either babe or Robbie.
"What did you do?" Robbie questioned, basically answering that he was indeed the one who gasped like a girl.
"She started it!" I exclaimed defensively, pointing at the blonde who was now sitting up, holding her slightly bleeding head.
"Girls do something!" She whined angrily. Sam and I shared a look before she sighed and removed the Buttersock from inside her bag. She swung it with great force, hitting both the girls on the heads, knocking them down with the other girl.
"This place wasn't that good anyway." I spat.
