3rd person's POV
"You just have to pretend that you two are still together, is that hard huh?" Mr CY Kim said
"Why would she need to do that?" Jungeun asked as they are in a middle of family dinner.
"One of our artists were caught using drugs and we need to cover that up and your grandpa came up with this idea" Jungeun's dad said
"I repeat, is it hard, Hyunjin?" Mr Kim look at his granddaughter
"Maybe for you it's easy but for me it's not" Hyunjin answered and the old man slam his hands on the table.
"And how is it hard huh?"
"You're not the one who got hurt, grandpa" Hyunjin said and stare back at her grandfather.
"Pain is just temporary, Kim Hyunjin. Set those feelings aside for now and do what I said" he said and Hyunseok speak up.
"Why does my child need to experience it all, dad?" all of the attention goes to him
"Why does everytime something happens you always use her as a cover up? Dad she's just a kid" the man look at his father
"She's not your only grandchild but why do you always put it on her?" as a father, it hurts Mr Kim that he wasn't able to protect his daughter from this old guy.
"Hyunseok" Jiwoo's dad called for his younger brother.
"Stop now. You're gonna get her into more trouble" he added
"If you just listen to me back then... your child won't experience all of this" Mr Kim said
"Is it about Minjeong? That was years ago already and she's even married to another guy. I divorced with her just to protect the fucking company and now you're doing this to my child?" Hyunseok clench his fists
"Or is this about mom?" he said
"Seok don't bring this up" Jungeun's dad held his arm
"No hyung" Hyunjin and Minju's dad said and turn to the old man.
"This is all about her, right? Dad... I never wanted that to happen" he stare at him intently
"I never wanted to grow up without knowing how my mom looks besides from looking at her pictures" he said and his brothers looks down.
"Do know how hard it was for me to grow up without a mom and my dad being mad at me my whole life? I never asked to be born in the first place... But why do you have to blame me for mom's death?"
Hyunjin, Minju, Jungeun and Jiwoo look at Hyunseok with a confused look.
"You're making my daughter suffer when she actually look like mom when she was younger?" what he said was right. Based from what he saw fron her mom's old photos, Hyunjin really does look like her. He never got to see his mother cuz she died while giving birth to him and all his father did was to blame everything on him.
"Don't ever talk about it again, Hyunseok. Your daughter is still doing what I said." Mr Kim said sternly and take a glance of Hyunjin's face before leaving the room.
It was all quiet until Hyunseok face Hyunjin and started apologizing.
"It's fine dad... You did what you can" Hyunjin smile a little but all of them knows that it is fake.
"I'm going now" she said and stand up
"Hyunjin/Hyunjin-unnie..." her dad, sister, cousins and uncles called but she just walk out of her grandfather's mansion and get in her car.
Her car finds its route to Heejin's house and ring their doorbell.
"What can I help- Hyunjinnie" Heejin opened the door and Hyunjin quickly hugs her. Heejin was surprised at the girl's action and look at the girl who's holding onto her tightly.
"Did something happened?" she asked softly but Hyunjin didn't answer her and just hug her tight.
