Hyunjin's POV
We already finished 3 bottles of soju and Heejin now drunk and talking incoherently, blabbering about how she hates Ryujin for not telling her sooner.
"She asked me to wait for her to come back like... she didn't even have to ask me that 'cause I will really wait for her" she suddenly can speak properly now
Her face is so red as her ears and her eyes are half lidded. She's pouting cutely and I can't help but to giggle.
"Why are you laughing!?" we're occupying the table outside the convenience store and some passerby are looking at us
"Why is it bad to laugh?" I drink the remaining alcohol in the bottle. I'm a bit tipsy now and I'm getting dizzy
"Kim Hyunjin" she called my name. Why does it sounds better when she's the one who said it?
"Wae?" I opened the canned beer and drank half of it
"We used to be friends right? Like back in our freshman year we always talk and hang out... What happened?" that question caught me off guard
What she said was true. We were seatmates back then and we always talk to each other. We even hang out a lot of times after class but that changed when I found out that she and Ryujin are dating.
I just distanced myself from her and all I feel that time is regret. I was the one who introduced them to each other and didn't thought that Ryujin would ask her out. Since then I started hanging out with my cousin who's a year above me with her two friends and also Hyejoo and Yerim who are my classmates.
"We were so close back then but one day you started ignoring me for no reason like why?" I took a sip of my beer before answering her
"Isn't it weird to hang out with your bestfriend's girlfriend?"
"What do you mean weird? It's totally okay to hang out with your bestfriend's girlfriend!" she took the beer from me and downed it
"You avoided me just because of that? You're unbelievable" she shake her head
"Imma just buy more beer" she stand up and go inside the store while I remain sitting here
"Even the way she walks is so cute..." I muttered and look at the sky
I wonder if I just confessed to Heejin back then... Will she accept my love for her or reject me? What if I told her that I'm the one putting flowers under her table? What if I told her that I like her before Ryujin did...
What if I confess to her now?
What the fuck am I thinking? She will probably avoid me and I don't want that. I also have a promise to Ryujin...
"I'm backkkkkk~" she sang and sit across me. I smiled at her and she handed me a beer.
"Thanks" I opened it and drink. She finished her beer in one gulp making me look at her with wide eyes.
"Calm down will you? If you pass out here I swear I'm gonna leave you here and let you freeze to death" I said
"Meanie" she said and open another drink
I didn't even know that she likes to drink. Ryujin didn't tell me anything about this kind of Heejin.
